Summary: “It’s Odysseus. He woke up at sunrise and skipped breakfast to work,” Eurylochus said blandly, as if it was enough of an explanation.

And the worst thing? To Polites, it was. Odysseus did this all the time. He got lost in his own mind, ignoring his need for food and drink even as his stomach pinched.

“So, we’re joining forces against him,” Polites said; Eurylochus nodded. “And if that fails?”

Eurylochus tilted his head back, pensively watching the clouds drift past above. “I pry his jaws open and you pour the food down his throat.”

(Odysseus’ destructive tendencies continue; Polites and Eurylochus take it in stride.)
