Following up on my last post [4.5], I just found out that Omega Dimension is, I know this is gonna sound a bit crazy, a fucking planet.
Sure, whatever, it can stay as an ice world somewhere at the edge of Magix. But I’m gonna still connect it to Oblivion which I moved deep into the Infinite Ocean as its sub-dimension. With a portal, or a gate, uhm, some form of the Omega Portal on Andros in the middle of nowhere leading there. (Which, why? Why on Andros of all places? Maybe, just maybe, if your little island prison is full, don’t just create a portal there into Omega and just relocate it entirely, alongside your new shiny portal. To, idn, somewhere where someone can realistically guard it. Taboc the Wise sure as hell doesn’t sound very wise to me. Spoiler, it does not exist in this AU). I haven’t really thought about it yet. Both are prisons, so may as well keep it all connected to make it easier for everyone involved when they haul prisoners to either of those very fancy places.

Magix Galaxy Map 0.1
The whole dimension system is weird, that’s it. I have no other explanation for it. I still have a massive problem to differentiate between what is a dimension and what is a planet in Winx Club. So, in this AU, there is, theoretically, one dimension (galaxy) which contains all the different planets, either canon or non-canon. And that is Magix, Magix Dimension, or Magix Galaxy. In part [4], I have mentioned that there used to be a singular dimension, until an unfortunate thing between Arcadia and Zaranne from which that dimension fragmented into many other “smaller” dimensions, and here we are.
With dimensions being quite literally thrown out of their correct placement, they are all over the place. It’s not just three or four dimensions, it’s in like tens, maybe even more. And on top of that, those dimensions also usually have their own laws and rules which differ from each other and don’t mix well together, like, at all. You wouldn’t want to be torn apart after a faulty inter-dimensional travel, would you? And that’s one of the nicer options.
Anyway, here is a galaxy map of Magix if it was still a singular dimension:
Yes, yes, few of those planets don’t actually exist in canon, but that way the galaxy would be just straight up empty. Anyway, what I’m trying to say here is that later on I’m gonna add more planets, and probably also change the positioning of certain planets (it’s not like there’s much about positions of planets in canon).
So, back to the problem of having multiple dimensions and a galaxy map which depends on a single dimension. Good thing is, there is magic, obviously, so it is not out of question to create a projected appearance of Magix through a so called “dimensional unified perspective” introduced by some smart researchers from Zenith. Have I put more thought into it? No. Does it sound plausible enough? It sure does!
In conclusion, it’s mostly for convenience sake and also because I wanted to have a galaxy map. Also, because I like Star Wars (take a guess from where that idea about a map came from), I decided to introduce the same idea of “what is closer to the center is nicer, and what is further away is, uhm, not so nicer” into this AU as well.

The Children of the Opposites, part 1
Note 0.3: Remember the mention of the Council of Elders still being a thing even though the Water Stars don’t exist? Well, here it is.
The Children of the Opposites, Unliving Paradoxes, or known collectively as the Flow, are so called first beings which were created by both the Dragon and the Phoenix. Their existence is debatable at best because they exist largely on conceptual level, but there is still enough proof to be found if one looks for it.
The Children can be placed into two groups: those created by either the Dragon or the Phoenix, or created by both of them. With there in mind:
Arcadia of the Flames, and Zaranne of the Shades
Thalassa, the Mermaid; Antares, the Centaur; Ra-Akash, the Owl
Arcadia of the Flames, and Zaranne of the Shades
The Dragon torn out a claw and then burned it away with its golden flames. What remained was then named, Arcadia of the Flames. Meanwhile, the Phoenix plucked a feather from a left wing and shrouded it with devouring darkness. And from it, Zaranne of the Shades crawled back. Both Arcadia and Zaranne are the aspects of magic, and the reason why mortal beings are able to use it. They both reformed it into a force easier to mold, feel, and use. And with the creation of usable magic, a new age began. During these times, the magic was wildly unstable and uncontrollable even though it was already diluted down. And at the same it, it was capable of so much more than it is now in the present.
But there was one fatal flaw, unlike the Dragon and the Phoenix, Arcadia and Zaranne were unable to exist in the same place, and if their paths crossed, all turned into ruin, before simply disappearing as if it didn’t exist in the first place.
So, when Arcadia and Zaranne fought one day with each other, from unity became many. From a single reality, countless dimensions were ushered into being. And their clash created a wound in reality which would never heal—a wound which opened the Dragon’s creation to the Void and beings which inhabit it.
“Imagine if you will, a wound in reality which spans across such dimensions that you could put every galaxy within said reality inside and it would still appear empty. Now, how hard is it then for something from the other side to come and take a look?”
The wound itself is an anomaly because nothing exists within, and therefore, it doesn’t exist as well. Anything that enters it, also ceases to exist, and to make matters worse, the wound cannot be perceived because it doesn’t exist, what a great place it is. And taken into account that the Dragon = reality, a part of the it forever ceased to exist.
While the Dragon was willing to forgive and forget, the Phoenix disagreed and punished both Arcadia and Zaranne. He stripped Arcadia of seven pairs of wings which would later bloom into the Ethereal Fairies of the Arcane. With each pair of wings gone, Arcadia lost a part of herself—be it mental, physical, or metaphysical, but she would still remain herself, just lesser. On the other hand, Zaranne received a worse punishment. Torn into three pieces under the fury of the Phoenix, and further exposed to its inherent darkness, the Ancestral Witches took her place. Meaning, Zaranne is dead as long as the Ancestral Witches remain separate, and the three of them don’t want to “die” for her to live again.
Ehm, because this itself is quite long already, the other three will get its own post later on. That one should be shorter because the only one currently having a coherent section of lore is Thalassa. Or, most likely, it will be posted later because I decide to actually make the relevant lore.
Note 0.4: Much, much later, the events described here would lead to the Dragon falling into a dormant state and the abandonment of its physical vessel on Domino. And in a similar fashion, the Phoenix would detach itself from “active existence” and only continue absorbing the Dragon’s energy.
Note 0.5: The Void are the imperfections and faults which the original perfection discarded, and left to rot and fester outside of its reach. Well, guess what, some problems may go away if you let them be, but some might just come back through the new, fancy hole in the wall. More on it later but currently no idea when (up until now the so called other place didn’t even have a name xD).

The Dragon and the Phoenix
“The Dragon emerged from the absence and burned its nothingness into the existence. From its empty remains, the Phoenix wailed and took flight across the infinite expanse. It quelled the flames and gifted them with death. The Dragon then shaped their smoldering deaths into the currents and our reality was weaved into being.”
An excerpt from a famous mythology tale originating from the formation of the Empire of Domino. Since then, the Dragon achieved near universal love, while the Phoenix became the common enemy in most cultures that later split off from the Domino Culture. The common belief behind the Dragon’s popularity over the Phoenix’s is that Emperor Merellen Dominius, the Founder of the Empire, was believed to be the incarnation of the Dragon and therefore eternal.
Unfortunately, as the Empire had many tendencies to spin things in their favor, hard to say what originates from truth and what from lies. The same issue exists in later cultures because of the common hate towards the Empire—with some claiming the Empire killed the Dragon, desecrated its corpse, stole something from it, and so on.
But, luckily for us, the only source is me so here’s what happened:
“A perfection split into opposite halves as there was nothing to appreciate its existence. Was it a selfish act? Yes, of course it was. But who could condemn it when there was nothing to change its decision. And so perfection stripped itself away from what made it so and made space for its halves which would depend on each other forever and even beyond such limitation.”
The Dragon and the Phoenix originate from the same transcendent force which decided to spit itself into two halves. Both of them are complete opposites to each other, with the main distinction being that the Dragon generates an endless amount of energy, while the Phoenix absorbs it back. If the energy didn’t have anywhere to go, well, everything would blow up pretty quickly—in this instance, too much abundance leads to suffering and decay.
The Dragon and the Phoenix are known under many names and identities that differ among cultures and species. But it is almost universally acknowledged that the Dragon made the reality possible, while the Phoenix shall extinguish it.
Both of them do not have innate material body, but they can create a vessel and infuse a small portion of their infinite selves into it, or straight up posses someone which will later result in death of the host if they do not become them in return. That’s what Darkar’s form in season 2 was in this AU, not that the events there will happen here, so it doesn’t really matter.
There is a whole eldritch element to their existence, because the:
Dragon = everything which exists
Phoenix = the emptiness between everything
Fortunately for general mortal population, or unfortunately depending on the perspective, it’s impossible to perceive this aspect of the reality through normal means. It is possible if someone has a direct connection to the Dragon, or the Phoenix. Examples for both can be Bloom and Valtor.
Okay, so that’s all for now with the classic creation myth and facts. But the problem here is now the fact that if the Dragon created the reality, how come there are dimensions separate from the main one? Most of the time, it’s family issues, this is no different.

Here is what does NOT EXIST in this AU, which exists in canon (not everything is mentioned here but the major things are — I will probably update it later though, after I learn/remember another piece of info from Winx Club).
The Pixies and Selkies — It’s as simple that I don’t like them. I remember quite vividly that whenever the pixies played some role, things would always go worse one way or another and I don’t want to deal with that. And, well, the selkies are just pixies underwater, so yeah.
Charmix and similar seemingly random powerups (c’mon, it’s just overrated purse).
The Water Stars also don’t exist here (but the Council of Elders does, though it is so different, it may as well not exist).
Transformations end with Enchantix (there’s more to it, but no further transformations like in canon).
Dimensions and planets got completely reworked (I, myself, have a massive problem to distinguish what exactly is its own dimension and what is just a planet).
The Ultimate Power that all the major villains want doesn’t exist in any way, shape or form.
The Company of Light never existed because it couldn’t be even formed timeline vise.
Roxy, Selina, and Eldora don’t exist (well, Roxy maybe will be implemented on later date, depending on the plot, but she will be from Tir Na Nog for sure).
The next post should be about the Dragon and the Phoenix and “other” universal mythology which is in some way present in practically all cultures across the Magic Dimensions/Magix (Magical Dimension will be called Magix in future posts).
Note 0.2: The Ultimate Power plot device is actually one of the main reasons this AU came into being in the first place. I was trying to figure out what would Darkar’s whole deal be if there wasn’t anything like that. And then it occurred to me that most of the antagonists in Winx Club are after the same shiny plot decide, which is also never properly described…nice.

Yep, another Winx Club rewrite, yay! It’s not finished, but my hope is that sharing some bits of it with at least few people will give me motivation when I find myself drifting from it. Best case scenario is a nice fic sitting on my ao3 account, worst is that it will never see a light of day—which cannot happen anymore because it’s here now :D
In later posts, you will probably notice that most canon worldbuilding got culled (well, there wasn’t much of it to begin with, really).
Quite a lot of it is inspired by different media, with its own spin—mostly because I thought it fits and, the actual reason, that it would be fricking cool, or simply epic to add it in.
Examples:
Domino got revamped in the Empire of Domino that is mostly despised by everyone in the present because of their very Sith (Star Wars) and Dragon Cult (The Elder Scrolls) tendencies to ruling.
Melody got Tatooine treatment in the past because (Star Wars)
Linphea has its magical Tree and its physical manifestation, well, one of it no longer exist (partly), and they live in a cycle of reincarnation through said Tree (Elden Ring).
Magix (planet) is Coruscant with more nature around (Star Wars).
Magix (here as a reality, not just just magical dimension) was also changed into its own galaxy with separate dimensions which are separated but still exists, essentially, right next to each other (there are exceptions, Obsidian, and similar).
There is more of it, but a lot of it is an amalgamation of more things so it’s hard to pinpoint.
Note 0.1: of an infinite cycle is kind of a placeholder name which stuck with me, so it may change in the future.
