“Hi, you’re Eliza?” Based on the description that he was going off of, this was her. But there was something- off about the room, but had specifically narrowed the weirdness down to her after sitting on the stool in front of her. He brushed it off as- just a funny feeling. Maybe she had powers or something and that was what was throwing his instincts off. He wanted to ignore it and get back to the office, so he pushed through it.
Cooper was known for being straightforward. “D’you have a second? My name’s Cooper Kent. I’m an editor-” assistant editor, “over at the paper. There was an incident here on Saturday night and someone else involved in the story said that you would back up his account. Just doin’ some fact-checking.” ( @elizazcrel )
“Yeah, that’s me.” Eliza gives her customer-service smile at the man, putting down the glasses she was carrying. “How can I help you?” She was still on the clock, and her manager was floating around so she had to be polite, even if she was both concerned and curious as to why someone was searching for her by name.
“Ah, right, I know what you’re talking about yeah. Sure. Would you like a drink while I do?”
