Things the houses learnt the hard way

Hufflepuff

People are scarily good at not caring. A person can have many faces. You don’t get to choose the people you love. Sometimes the brightest people burn out the fastest. Light and Warmth don’t always go hand in hand. Friendships fade away. Memories don’t change the present.

Ravenclaw

Words are strong but not always easily understood. Walking your own path is good but who said anything about the right direction. Time heals but does not erase. The best ideas can have the worst consequences. The fastest birds fly on their own.

Gryffindor

Shielding someone gives them the perfect opportunity to stab you in the back. The truth doesn’t matter if the lie is well crafted. A person won’t love you just because you love them. Saving someone from this won’t save them from that. Death doesn’t discriminate.

Slytherin

The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb. Your mind can be your greatest enemy. The melody doesn’t say shit about the lyrics. Sometimes doing your best is not enough. If you are lost standing still can be wiser than moving on. You don’t always get what you deserve and don’t always deserve what you get.
