I was fortunate to get a chance to read The Rookie Season 1 final scripts, and there’s some fun little excerpts to share!

I will be going through one episode a week to carry us through most of the hiatus, with a one-week break. Schedule is subject to change.
These excerpts will vary from deleted lines/scenes to exactly what we’ve seen on screen. To prioritize, I focused mostly on new information, but pulled out the occasional fan-favourite scene so everyone can see what was scripted and what wasn’t.

Yes, these are real! They’re directly from The Rookie Season 1 scripts, which are not publicly available online, but they are publicly available at the WGA Library in LA.
No, I can’t post the full scripts. I can post short excerpts based on my notes, but nothing more than that! Excerpts are all the permission I have. If you want to read the full scripts and are in LA, visit the WGA Library!
They only have Season 1 available. So, this project will only be for Season 1.
These are transcribed. While I am not editing them, there is a chance I mistyped something.
These are from the Final Script, rather than a draft. There might be things that didn’t make the final cut of the episode, but not much.
*If you read the pilot script online—this pilot version is more finalized than that (public pilot was an early draft).
Deleted lines/scenes were removed from the episode for a reason. Certain notes might be for internal use and were never intended to be seen by audiences. The scripts do not always equate to canon and should not be treated as such.
Please be respectful. These were graciously donated to the library by writers, and the library in turn graciously lets the public read it, and I luckily have the limited permission to share excerpts. This privilege can easily be taken away from us.

Coloring Outside the Lines - Chapter 11 - Recovering
Lucy pressed a slow, soft kiss to his temple, and Tim exhaled and sinking deeper into her embrace. “Mmmm…take me back to the island.” He sighed and Lucy brushed another kiss against his temple.
“No arguments here.” She murmured.
Things around them were—for lack of a better word—a disaster. Tim’s suspicions and subsequent scapegoating had exposed major corruption within the LAPD, sending shockwaves through the department with consequences they had barely begun to uncover. that had reverberating effects that they hadn’t even yet scratched the surface of. The complexities of the scandal that went beyond even their wildest nightmares. Things were in shambles.
“You know...” Tim’s voice interrupted her thoughts, his hand still tracing patterns on her thigh, “I’ve been so caught up with everything…and you’ve been so incredible helping me navigate all this…I just…I haven’t asked…” He tilted his head back to look at her, face flushed from the hot water. “You’ve been through so much with the department. Since day one of your rookie year to now. Way more than most cops experience on the job. And now this. How are you feeling?”
Our show is kicking ass this season! But the ratings aren't the best on the overnights. Streaming 7 day numbers are decent. We want a Season 8.? We gotta show up for our show. Watch live and stream everywhere you can. It all counts.
Echoes Across the Hall - Ch 21 - In the Silence TEASER

"I was over this," she choked out before he could speak. "I worked so hard to be over this. How is him just being free doing this to me?"
Tim's heart cracked at the raw pain in her voice. He wanted to gather her close, to promise that everything would be okay. But he knew from experience that sometimes the only way past the pain was through it.
"It is okay to feel it. Let it out, I've got you," Tim whispered against her ear as his arms wrapped around her shoulders and stomach, pressing her back flush to his front.
Lucy's bottom lip quivered. "I'm not scared. I'm not sad. I'm furious!" she shouted through tears. "He has robbed me. He wasn't a burglar in the night, Tim. I opened my doors, windows and SOUL to that man. I let him walk right in. He stole so much, desecrated more. Left me a husk of a woman..."
"It's okay, baby. I've got you. You are safe. You are strong. You are whole again." Tim soothed, rocking their bodies gently, riding out her wave of emotion.
