The best shows to me will always have a little bit of everything... comedy, drama, romance, and some good mystery. They know what they're about thematically. When to be serious and also to not take themselves too seriously. Quality to me is intention. Not the level of prestige. Characters are probably more important to me than plot too in the sense that good characters can save a mediocre plot, but if I don't care about the characters, I'm going to have a significantly more difficult time caring about the plot. So when you get a show with a good plot that's also CHARACTER DRIVEN—
