Happy Sunday everyone!! I’m hopelessly behind on my book challenges and just posting on here in general. It’s been a busy few day! Currently re-organizing my library since we bought two new bookshelves for our ever growing collection of books 😝 . . . Day 25 (yeah several days behind!) of the #FanaticalBirdOctober book challenge. Mini book review time! I absolutely adored this book guys! I give it a 4.5/5 only because it did have a few slow parts for me, but overall I love the store. This whimsical world full of Fae illusions and Human Craft was just absolutely lovely! Craft is essentially human artistry that the fair folk aren’t able to make themselves such as painting portraits (like our main character), tailoring, cooking, etc. One of my fave quotes from the book pertaining to just that is: “Realizing that your own magic held more mystery to the fair folk than theirs did to you was a peculiar experience. I felt like some sort of wizard with delicate and arcane indispositions, not an artist and a perfectly ordinary person.” . Check it out! What’s the bloodiest scary book you’ve read? I’m probably going to read The Wood next for my Halloween reads. I really want to read IT down the road but that book is a beast and will probably take me a bit to get through. I’m not a fan of clowns at all, but after much begging by my husband I went and saw the new movie with my husband, and ended up really enjoying it! I’m really excited about all the new sci-fi books popping up in the YA world lately! I really enjoyed Empress of a Thousand Skies that I got in a @fairyloot from earlier this year. Plus I just got Want and Warcross for my birthday this month, so I’m pretty excited to read those too! I read a lot of the newer Star Wars books and have slowly been working my way trough The Expanse series (only the prequel novellas so far). What sci-if books are your favorites? . . . Who likes zombie movies and books? I freaking loved the pride and prejudice and zombies movie! Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite classical novels, so I was really intrigued to watch the movie. I'm a big fan of the vampire world. I have very fond memories with one of best friends going to see all the underworld movies together, and later she got me into the twilight franchise which to this day we still have the best insite jokes for 😉We even went and saw Jackson Rathbone (who plays Jasper) play with his band 🤣 yup we were a bit obsessed for awhile. My more recent reading pleasure with vampires is the wonderful shadowhunter world, and can I just say...isn't Simon the most adorable vampire ever?!?
