a hectic first term at uni!! im making slow progress with darwins voyage of the beagle but here’s some plates from a micro lab a few weeks ago, and we go into 2021 with a resolution to post a bit more than once a term (sorry about that one, uni hit me wayyy harder than i expected it to and it took me way too long to get out of a rapidly tightening downwards spiral.)

a bit of late a-level results day news; i got into university! its now just over a month until i start a biology degree (and start having stuff to post about again) :)
Hello! Sorry to bother you. I hope you’re well. There isn’t many people on tumblr that take classics as an A Level. So I was wondering, what is it like? I’m thinking of doing it. But it looks wayyy to hard!💙
hi! no worries, its not a bother at all :) I loved doing A-level classics, it is hard in places but thats a part of any A level and for me it was really worth it! let me know if i can help anymore + all the best with your a levels!

online school started this week and wow is it strange, but being able to learn about things off the syllabus is proving to be so worth it (especially in class civ)! my pen did run out half way through a seminar on apollonius of rhodes this morning though ...

so... A levels got cancelled. I’m quite frustrated but, i know i was close to, if not, burning out and am trying to see this as a blessing not a curse. with no exams or lessons work has been very very slow, but i’m going to try and start learning a language (if you have any reccomendations, please let me know! i know a bit of french but am looking for something new and fun!) covid-19 is certainly a surreal situation, look after yourselves!
