“I need to get you to fix my hair on a nearly daily basis.” Reagan looked away from her reflection for a few seconds to look at the actress, resisting the urge to touch her own head again, now that everything looked as it ought to. At least, for the caliber of the current party. It made sense, of course, what with @bean-hood‘s own polished look. When one just wasn’t meant to go unnoticed, why not go through the actual effort of giving others something to appreciate? The actress had it tougher, in a sense, what with her grabbing attention this and that way by merit of her own popularity and her public persona as well as her looks. “Love that shade on you, by the way. Did you blend it yourself?” Her gaze was curious, yet appreciative, of the brunette’s complete appearance. And it did take some effort to impress her, she’d like to believe. Even if Bean was someone she’d consider a friend.

“Okay, and what are the odds that my heel would break and I’d run out of superglue on the same evening? Because, let me tell you, I’m usually prepared for all of these eventualities.” Not for anything she carried said superglue on her multi-purpose canvas bag - there was anything a girl might need, including her personal sewing kit, and one of her brother’s extra beanies, along with snacks for whoever might have a sudden blood sugar drop in her vicinity. Reagan glared down at her offending mules - the trendy pair she’d snagged on a decent enough sample sale - still keeping her foot slightly suspended from the ground. Why had she decided to ditch her emergency shoes, again? She sighed, her gaze finding @ebitfield‘s, and showed the younger girl a rueful smile. Not that she was really feeling the humor of her situation yet.

Sloane stared at her for a beat longer than socially acceptable before her shoulders sagged in relief, “Could you? Stick around, I mean.” Sloane stepped forward, sheepish that she even needed to ask. She was supposed to be the seasoned veteran and yet she needed someone to be there for her to bounce the scene off of. “If you’re not too busy. Just take my script and pretend you’re Liam.”

There was that unnerving period of silence where one might wonder if they’d said entirely the wrong thing. When that beat passed, however, and the actress actually accepted her offer... there was the slight hesitation before she showed the other woman a smile in return. “I’ve been waiting my whole life for such an opportunity. Jackson Gaines, isn’t it?” she asked, her head tilting to one side as she held up the script, vaguely wondering how much this might spoil the rest of the season for her. “Only as long as you introduce me to him. I haven’t had that pleasure yet.” It was punctuated with another smile, all girlish giddiness and softness she wasn’t used to sharing with another person.

in full hair and makeup and wardrobe for an unforeseen reshoot, caroline sat behind her trusty laptop, her fingers flying across the keyboard at lightning speed. when she heard someone approach, she held up one finger – her other hand still typing away. once she finished her sentence, she saved the document and looked up. “my final paper is due at the end of the week and i’m only halfway through my third set of revisions. i’m horribly behind schedule, so what is it and can it be taken care of quickly?”

“There actually is quite a fair bit I can do all by my lonesome, but technically final fittings do require the actual body I’m dressing up to be on set. Or the trailer, to put it more specifically.” Her words rang through as deeply unimpressed, even when she was slightly curious as to what the actress was up to. Not actually everybody on set put anything else on top of their jobs nowadays - specially not their education. “I promise I can make it as painless as possible if you focus on me for twenty minutes, tops. You’re one of the least troublesome of the cast.”

Sloane had never thought herself to be unintelligent until she took on the role of Melanie Reynolds. Week after week, script after script, she wondered just how person with this level of intellect kept their heads from exploding. Pacing in what she thought was an empty hallway, she breathed deep and tried again to recite the almost page long monologue. Cursing when she knew she messed up, Sloane cracked open an eye surprised to find that she wasn’t alone.

“You had me going for a second there, you know? I half believed you until the stumble.” Reagan’s perfectly shaped eyebrows rose, even as she sipped her decaf through the straw, clearly a person with some free time ahead of her. “Would it help to have an audience? Come up with some sort of word association game or whatever you actors need to do to better memorize long scenes?” Not that she had any real insight on that last one - she tended to steer away from the crazed eyes when they first started showing the symptoms.

the paparazzi have spotted REAGAN ELLIS, the TWENTY-FOUR year old CREW MEMBER who’s currently working as COSTUME DESIGNER on SUBURBIA. the tabloids have called them FOCUSED and COMPOSED, but also AMBITIOUS and PROUD. during their time in the spotlight, they’ve been dubbed the SIREN.

Yo, did I really need to bring three new characters as soon as I got back from my trip? Yes, yes I did.

Reagan was originally meant to be twenty five bc I have a thing against making too many characters the same age also Adelaide is nearing 28 but alaS (if I made Dylan 24, why not)

see, Ellis is her mother’s maiden name, which she’s chosen to go by in the artistic world for the simple reason that she’d rather become well known as her own person rather than advance simply because people are thirsty over her brother her brother also better known as one @ncvxks so, y’know, Reagan Ellis has a nice ring to it, anyway

IF she has to have one talent, that’s probably related to looks -- she finds it really easy to mix and match and compliment one’s personality, highlighting assets and whatnot with what could pass for ‘just’ clothing

def not above using her own looks to get what she wants (i’m not saying she would lure sailors towards rocks but it’s pretty up there) it’s kind of a good thing her main focus is building up her career i guess ??

Reagan can put up a very calm and collected front but just... if you cross her or call her out in public ?? ooh boy (?) also another surefire way of getting her riled up would be by demeaning her or anything she could be passionate about (besides costume design) ((or her brother - she loves that goofy goober who keeps losing his beanies))

also i don’t know how to make intros even remotely interesting !!

but pls give me connections i still need to write two more intros this is why i don’t... do them i can’t
