I have one close friend. I lost all the other ones because of this disease. Anxiety is the worst.
I think one of the hardest things about making this change is knowing that I have to build new friendships. Until then, I have no one to talk to about how I feel. No one to talk to about my disease. No one to talk to about my struggles and anxiety. No one to talk to about side effects from my meds. Itâs embarrassing.
hey friends with anxiety,
i found this cool website that lets you make you own nebulas and galaxies and stuff. the lines slowly spread out after you make them and its really relaxing and calming so if youâre ever having an anxiety or panic attack or just feel irritated and need to calm down, this might help you out like it helped me. (also its fun to mess around with even if youâre not feeling bad)
you can check it out  *here*

I went to dinner for the first time this semester today, and all I could think about was how people were judging me. I can't stop feeling like I always embarrass myself when I'm trying to be confident. I can't be confident anymore. I need help.Â
I did it. It took me an hour of convincing myself, and having the number up on my phone, and looking at the website, and crying, but I scheduled my first therapy session. It's time that I start taking care of myself and getting help, even though it's really really REALLY hard to do.Â
Homesickness is an impossible image to paint in any color. At first you think youâll just draw yourself alone, in an empty room, and maybe that will convey just how you feel. Then you realize thatâs wrong. The things that make up you, who you are, are not with you. You have gone so far away, to a...

1. Youâre doing 90% of the things you said youâll never do when you were 16. 2. Helping your mum around the house doesnât make you her slave. After all, every superhero needs a trusty sidekick. 3. No one drinks alcohol because they like it. 4. Coffee doesnât keep you awake, the habit of drinking it does. 5. âGrowing upâ and âtaking responsibilityâ is not the same thing. You can do one without the other. 6. There are days when chocolate is a perfectly acceptable meal. 7. Your mother admits she doesnât always know whatâs best for you. 8. You stop wasting your kisses. 9. Word âcoolâ takes on a completely different meaning than it did in high school. 10. Some people who havenât touched a book in years start enjoying reading as much as they did when they were 8. 11. You never tell your younger sibling theyâre annoying when they talk about things that interest them. Youâve learned thatâs one of the worst feelings in the world. 12. You find yourself teaching your parents about life, not the other way around. 13. College is not all that different from high school. 14. There are still cliques and means girls and popular kids and those less popular. 15. But you are different. You donât want to just fit in anymore, you want to belong. You donât want to stretch yourself to fit into someone elseâs skin. 16. Friends you find in college are most likely for life. 17. You start fighting stereotypes. 18. âI love youâ loses its dramatic flair. It becomes something you need to hear as much as something you need to say. 19. You learn that some clichĂ©s are real and good - thatâs how they became clichĂ©s in the first place. 20. Sometimes, 10pm is way too late to go out. 21. Or to do anything but sleep. 22. Your love life is still a soap opera, just with a volume turned down. 23. People start taking you seriously, whereas a year ago you were still just a child to them. Sometimes you feel cheated out of life because of that. 24. There are things you start looking forward to as much as when you were a child. 25. Like Christmas. 26. And Summer. 27. And ice cream. 28. World becomes a never ending hallway of possibilities. 29. Some days you feel too small, or too big, for your own body. 30. You donât mind being yourself because you finally start discovering yourself. Itâs new. Itâs exciting. Itâs like visiting a city youâve seen in pictures, but theyâve never quite felt right. 31. Society is messed up. 32. People in magazines donât even look human. 33. Crowds donât seem so crowded anymore, because thereâs always someone you know, or someone you would like to meet. 34. One month words on paper and scenes on television are so mesmerizing that you donât leave the house. 35. The other you start forgetting how your room looks like. 36. Beauty is everywhere. 37. Desire to travel rises in you like a hot air balloon. 38. You donât postpone studying anymore. You want to get it over with. You want to live. 39. You use sarcasm more than in any other period of your life. 40. You get tired of waiting for a cute girl/boy to like you back. 41. You do something about it. 42. There are worst things out there than rejection. 43. Spontaneity. 44. Confidence boost. 45. Everyone knows how to dance. Even those who donât have a clue about it. 46. Growing older doesnât seem so scary anymore. 47. At 26 you feel the same as you did at 22. 48. You do things youâre going to be too ashamed to tell your children about. 49. Tequila shots. 50. Strip poker. 51. Making out with a complete stranger. 52. Eating a box of ice cream at 3am. 53. Watching a whole season of a television show in one day. 54. Having a Marvel marathon. 55. Thinking that a box of pizza and six hours of playing a video game is a perfect date. 56. Take a risk. 57. Visit a theater every once in a while. 58. Or a museum. 59. Go vine tasting. 60. Or poetry reading. 61. Join a club. You never know what, or who, youâre going to find there. 62. Go to a protest. 63. Join a cause. 64. You experience heartbreak on a completely other level. 65. Happiness takes on a new form. 66. Sometimes itâs everywhere. 67. Other times itâs nowhere to be found. 68. You donât want this period of your life to ever end. 69. You have a feeling it wonât.
things that happen to you in your twenties (via buffysummerslay)
No, it's fine. I totally don't need friends at school. I've never wanted to be at home so bad in my life. This is just unfair.Â
In high school, I was voted "Most Likely to be Voted off the Island", or, in the words in my classmates, "The Most Hated Person in the Grade." Special shoutout to everyone who made me overly conscious about every move I make. Shoutout to everyone who made fun of the way I walked, my size, my hair, my contributions in class, what I ate, my prom dresses, my voice, and even my accomplishments.Â
I couldn't even be happy about my college scholarships or my trip to Greece that I earned because I "didn't deserve it".Â
I'm corrupted now. I can't even go get fast food and bring it back to my dorm unless I eat it in the parking lot of the store. I can't eat properly in public with people. I can't speak up in class. I can't eat by myself in the commons. I can't get a soda from the vending machine. I can't feel good in my clothes. I can't make a trip to Wal-Mart at home. I can't go to the gym because I might make a mistake in my workout and look stupid.Â
You made fun of everything I did, so now I can't do anything without fear. Without anxiety of what people are going to think of me. My entire sense of self worth is thrown off because I can't do anything right.Â
Feminist: Men have historically tried to control women's bodies!
Feminist: Manspreading is a serious problem that should have legal repercussions for the men that do so!
The second time you fall in love with someone, youâre going to compare it to your first love. Thatâs okay. Thatâs natural. Youâre going to be studying the new love with judgement and wariness. âMy ex never liked broccoli. Why the hell does this one eat so much broccoli?!â Discovering that you have the ability to love multiple people who are different and feel different is initially very jarring. Loving an unfamiliar body will leave you disoriented and in dire need of a map. Thatâs okay too. Thatâs to be expected. Just ask the new love for directions.

WE ALSO LIVE IN A SOCIETY THAT:
Tells people not to smoke cigarettes due to health risks. They do it anyway.
Tells people not to drink and drive. They do it anyway.
Tells people not to have unprotected sex due to health risks. They do it anyway.
Tells people not to drive without their seat belts on. They do it anyway.
Tells people not to text and drive. They do it anyway.
Tells people not to do dangerous drugs. They do it anyway.
Tells people not to keep their cars unlocked due to possible theft. They do it anyway.
Tells people not to keep their homes unlocked due to possible theft. They do it anyway.
Tells women not to consume drugs or alcohol during pregnancy. They do it anyway.
Tells people not to abuse animals. They do it anyway.
Tells people not to abuse other people. They do it anyway.

Tells people not to keep their guns where children can access them. They do it anyway.
Tells people not to steal. They do it anyway.
Tells people not to murder. They do it anyway.
Howâs all that telling people not to do shit working out? Iâm pretty sure those without a moral compass donât give a fuck what you think they should or shouldnât do.
WE ALSO LIVE IN A SOCIETY THAT:
Tells men they canât be the victims of sexual assault
Tells boys that when a woman rapes them its okay because they wanted it.
Tells men they deserve to be hit by women because they probably did something wrong.
Tells men that sacrificing his goals and aspirations for a woman is what âreal menâ do.
Tells men they arenât allowed to have preferences on body because thatâs sexist or body shaming.
Tells men that its their duty to protect women from danger even at the risk of their own lives because its what âreal menâ do.
Tells men they have privilege and so their problems donât count.
WE ALSO LIVE IN A SOCIETY THAT:
Has consistently told men that rape is wrong. Here is a list of some rape prevention messages over the years.
Has never told women not to rape men or boys yet it happens ALL THE TIME.
Does not tell women not to lie about rape even though it happens more than you think.
CONCLUSION: Some people do fucked up things because some people have no moral guidance and do not care if you tell them they are wrong. Blaming men for rape is not helping, it is only perpetuating the idea that only men rape, men can somehow stop rape, and women never lie about rape â all of which are false. Telling people not to do things does not work. Even the death penalty is not a deterrent from murder because people still kill each other in Texas and they have the highest rate of death row executions.
Believe it or not, the world is a scary place that will never be completely safe as long as people are free to make their own choices even at the risk of harming themselves. It is imperative that people learn how to protect themselves from becoming victims. I believe that women being told to be safe and protect themselves from violence or rape is purely a consideration for their well being that is not offensive. The fact that men are never told to be safe while they are three times more likely to be victims of homicide reinforces that societyâs concerns are most definitely in favor of protecting women while men are simply disposable and not worthy of consideration at all for their safety and well being. Some may argue that because statistically men are the main perpetrators of violence against other men that it is only the fault of men but this only highlights the disposable attitude towards men because we donât question nor do we as a society care how they got that way. This is shown to be absolutely true due to the lack of male services or support groups. In a recent study, it was found that men are not inherently violent and that more men equals less violence and more peace. This is a blow to the typical stereotype that men are violent in nature.
In ending this I want to bring attention to the fact that a female prison in Oklahoma had the highest rate of rape between inmates in the United States at 15.3%. Women are just as capable of rape as men are and the issue is not about gender but about fucked up people with no moral compass who, quite frankly, do not give a shit about your picket signs, your posters, or your blog posts telling them not to rape. Essentially, you are talking to a brick wall and throwing an entire gender under the bus while you do it.
Iâmma just leave this here because rape, abuse, assault, molestation, and discrimination are all wrong, no matter the gender or the age. I donât care if youâre the victim is a boy or a girl, I will sympathize with them equally.
Holy shit. I dig this.
So much yes.Â
u w u Remember women, love feminism, or else you donât deserve those basic human rights we gave you~<33
Does she really think that if feminism never happened, in 2014 women still wouldnât have basic rights?
Does she really think those rights are under some kind of threat and only continue to exist because of feminisn
The last comment explains it all. These rights would not cease to exist if feminism was not around. There are no rights that I don't have as a woman that men do.
