Michael Schumacher CDs
I haven't seen any posts on this topic and information is quite sparse, so if you know anything please share!!!
So there are quite a few songs written about Michael Schumacher and some of them are only available on cds (lost-ish media i guess) but that's a can of worms I don't have enough money to open (curse you international shipping).
But there's also a whole series of music compilation cds released by a German label "Deshima Music" in 2001 (?), which are apparently a part of an official merch line as far as I can tell 🤷♀️
I was lucky enough to stumble on one of them so I present to you Michael Schumacher Hits For The Road
^ here's an official MS collection label but honestly idk design is so low effort it gives out fake vibes anyway
Lucky for us all the insert shows other cds you can buy - 6 of them to be precise (are there more? I honestly don't know):
Inselparty (Summer party hits)
Bella Italia (Italo hits)
Fiesta Latino (Latino hits)
Schlager- Ralley
Schumi-hits für kids (disco hits für powerkids xD)
Hits for Winners
I found some of them on the internet unfortunately none of the pics featured the back cover so the full tracklist remains a mystery
There's also this release that doesn't have an official mark but is by the same label so kinda like a weird cousin
A word about the music selection - wild ride
Couple of German songs and a bunch of well-known songs or by famous musicians- sounds good on paper
Idk who was responsible for the selection and how much input was from Michael (probably 0% heh) but some songs are either conscious high-effort choice or low-budget option. Why choose live version of Asia? New eagles? Golden earring cover that is 2 whole minutes longer than the original? (it's almost 9(!) minutes) And I swear to god that this house of the rising sun is not by Animals. It says Animals on the cover but believe me they are lying. Same with Keep on running - I've listened to this song for a decade and that's not it.
So the whole listening experience is like a Mandela effect stretched out for 40+ minutes
Found couple of songs I like though so totally worth it 😁
I can't really talk about other cds without the tracklists at the very least but here's a fun fact: singer of the first song- David Hanselmann has not only released his own Schumi-hit (Fly Schumi Fly), but also performed with Rumba Tres their song Barcelona that is featured on Fiesta Latino.
