Been trying to work on the next chapter of WHTP, but I still haven't been able to get very much done (work and writer's block are absolutely kicking my ass lately, RIP me 😭) HOWEVER, in honor of @lokiusweek starting on Monday (I'M SO EXCITED!!), here's a bit (honestly, a large portion of it lol) of my ficlet for day 1! 🥰
As they sat down together, he kept his arm around Loki's waist, perhaps thinking he could somehow undo the damage that had been done that way. Whether subconsciously or not, it was undeniable that they sat closer than would be considered proper or expected of work colleagues, but Mobius didn't seem to notice, or care. "You were right," he hurried on, grip tightening with the fervency of his words, "You were right about everything. And I acted like a jerk; you didn't deserve this." Still trying to catch his breath, Loki nevertheless listened carefully as Mobius spoke. He remained dubious at first, but with each word from the analyst, he could sense that something had changed in him. That some of the man he'd been growing close to before the disastrous night at the Roxxcart had returned, along with a brand new rebellious streak in him. It was intoxicating. Impossible for Loki to resist. So he didn't.
