Today, in order to avoid sharing more of WHTP than I want to, I banged out specifically seven sentences for an Eddie/Volt/Reader AU that I don't even know if I'll be writing. I have only disjointed scenes and vibes for it, and I LOVE the vibes, buuuuut I need plot. And goals. And motivations. So who knows, lol. But this is one of those disjointed images that's in my brain! So now it gets to haunt all of you too 😊

Eddie set to work mixing up two whiskey sours: one for him and one for Volt. Two portions apiece of whiskey, egg whites, lemon juice, and sugar. However, Volt's drink received one extra, very special, ingredient. Holding the glass that would be Volt's in one hand, Eddie held his other over it, sending a trickle of his magic down into it. As arcs of electricity danced down the surface of the chilled glass and into the drink, making the liquid bubble with heat, he whispered his incantation. "Make him see." When the sparks faded and the drink resumed its outward appearance of just a regular whiskey sour, he knew the magic was ready to take effect on its drinker. On Volt.

Who knew a human would cause so much trouble for the two sharing the goblin king throne? Oh shit you didn't hear anything 👀

More Lokius Fatal Frame 1 AU.

"Look, you need a sacrifice."

"Loki, no!"

They glance at Mobius, then tear their eyes away from that pleading look. Kirie, on the other hand, shifts closer to the dais. "They have to be willing. To give up everything."

"Yes."

"No!" yells Mobius.

And this time it is seven sentences and not just me forgetting that was even a thing like last week. No one called me out on it, mercifully.

I have successfully joined up the two parts of this fic. I just need to edit and tweak the ending now. Progress made!

"He's so excited about us both going home. There's no harm in pretending," Grace said through the video. Stratt paused it there. When she looked at the background of the video to where Rocky was sleeping, she knew there was definitely some harm. She had seen how attached Rocky was to Grace in the short time they knew each other. That alien cared deeply for him and when Rocky found out that Grace was not going home, it was not going to go over well. Stratt had to assume there was an alien out there who was not happy with her.

Started a WIP the other day for one last Fluffy July fic, which I'll be posting on the 29th (provided I don't read it back and go, "wtf is this crap??", lmao). This one too is set in the murky realm of speculative MCU future canon, though is standalone and not part of my Taking Root series.

Being the guardian of All Time for time immeasurable, before the multiverse had been destroyed by an insidious power he had not been anticipating, Loki suspected that much of what he’d learned was now lost in the fading miasma of painful memories, only to be replaced many times over by all that he’d seen and experienced whilst peering into the branches he’d lovingly sustained.   Endless apertures through which he’d glimpsed all of existence… and now it was all but completely obliterated. He had barely been able to shed tears over the loss of his beloved creation, so numb was he upon discovering what had happened. Even now, he merely felt leaden inside, like every timeline he’d failed had burrowed deep within, dragging him down with them into oblivion. Thor had already told him many times that it hadn’t been his fault. That he was brimming with pride over his courageousness and selflessness, and was honoured to call him ‘brother’. Nevertheless, it was absolution he still craved, and not in the least from the one he’d left slumped in uncomfortable repose in an armchair in the other room; the one who had kept him strong, kept him surviving, for centuries and beyond.

He rolled the letter, kissed it twice, then went to Buttons. “Thank you,” He said to the bird as he secured the letter. “Not just for this but for everything. I never got to tell you before you left.” The bird - Buttons - bobbed its head twice, then took off toward the entrance of the cavern, another gull joining him in flight. It was only after they were out of sight that he realized how absolutely ridiculous this all was, and that there was a very good chance that it was just a normal, if not well-trained, seagull. Shaking it off, he brought the pencil and sketchbook back to Johnny. “Thanks for that. If there’s anything I can do for you.” “Marry my sister?” “Aside from that,” Stede grinned. “I’ll think about it,” Johnny said, eyeing Stede’s forearms suspiciously.

dusted off an old wip and started fixing it up so i actualy have something to share today!

"Hey," he said to no one in particular. It may not have been very formal, but he'd never prayed before and he figured, if he could even hear him from wherever he was, Loki probably wouldn't mind.

The tears spilled over, voice wavering as he went on.

"Turns out it was something good, huh?"

Only the cicadas answered.

"But… it also turns out I don't care. I still don't regret it. Because if I hadn't been brought to the TVA, I never would have met you." He closed his eyes for just a moment, and tried to imagine Loki's face, hearing that. He'd probably furrow his brow and pucker his lips in a frown, like he was about to argue. His cheeks would turn red, because even though he regularly demanded praise, actually receiving it always caught him off guard.

Smiling a very little, Mobius lifted his eyes once more.

doesnt have too much plot atm 😅 just a lil post-canon, starts off angsty, gets a little angstier, then becomes a fix-it with a happy end :)

Seven Something Sentence Sunday

Not been tagged today but I'm sharing again anyway!

I keep telling myself if I keep working on this a little bit every day it'll eventually be finished 😂 So here's todays tiny addition 😘

The sun is directly overhead by the time they next rest, bright and oppressive as it beats down upon them. The only saving grace is the thick canopy of leaves that cover them, shrouding them in as much shade as they can get out here. Still, it’s unpleasantly hot, not an ounce of wind making it through the tall tree trunks that surround the clearing.  Mobius’ tie has been abandoned, thrown haphazardly on top of his discarded jacket, and the top two buttons of his shirt are popped. It's the most casual Loki has seen Mobius since he arrived at the TVA. The man is always so prim and proper, always in that same drab brown suit, with the same shirt and the same tie…seeing it start to all slowly come off feels odd in a way Loki can't place. He feels like he's being allowed to see a part of Mobius that isn't all the TVA’s own. He wonders if there's more to the agent he has yet to see.

Once again we're technically after midnight and all but here is another little snippet anyway. 😆

“We’re both okay,” Loki gently reassured again, keeping Mobius steady, that tender smile doing wonders against the lingering anxiety churning in Mobius’s gut.  “We are, right? You sure? What did you even do?” Mobius quietly murmured, carefully observing his partner's pale face, almost always so pale anymore, reaching forward to wipe at the trickle of blood slowly congealing at his nose. “You are okay, right?” he whispered, pointedly ignoring their growing audience.  “It’s difficult to explain, but suffice to say that taking its energy into my own left it with nowhere to go.” Loki gave a thoughtful hum, smile never wavering, even as Mobius wiped blood from his face. “It wasn’t ideal, but the direct connection made it easier in a way. Tiring, but effective. I’m fine, Mobius. Really.”  Mobius paused, looking, truly looking at Loki, the ugly bruising marring his abdomen, blood so vivid red against his pale face–the honesty in his fatigued gaze. “You better be. Holding you to it,” Mobius finally murmured, returning Loki’s smile, gentle and tired. “You were amazing, you know.” Loki blinked, apparently somehow surprised by his words even after everything they had been through together, still so shy to accept a true compliment. A heart-breakingly boyish expression briefly overtook his features, the faintest tinge of a blush spreading at his otherwise pallid cheeks. He gave a nervous swallow, expression melting into something so fond and grateful. “Couldn’t have done it without you.”

Lokius Week Day 5: The TVA's Worst-Kept Secret

It was such a small detail. A note in the 'wardrobe' section of their mission assignment: 'They'll be expecting you to be a couple. Matching outfits are a must.'

Lowering the case file, Mobius shot a look at Loki, who had been reading it over his shoulder at the same time. A look that was at once guilty and inquiring, drawing up memories of a discussion they'd already had several times over, all of which Loki caught onto as soon as their eyes met. Letting out a quiet sigh of resignation, he smiled slightly and gave a short nod. After nervously returning the smile, Mobius turned his attention to B-15, who had brought them the assignment.

"Just one thing, B," he began, tentative. He pointed out the note that'd caught their attention and tapped it a few times. "This, uh…this note here?"

B-15 looked closer, her ponderous frown clearing when she recognized what he was calling into question. She nodded once, briskly. "About you two being a couple," she affirmed, looking between them, "I didn't anticipate that being a problem."

"No! No, it's not a problem; it's—" Mobius cut the thought short with a soft huff, averting his eyes down to the floor as his face flushed. After a brief moment to recover himself, he took a deep breath, then met B-15's eyes again. "Listen. We have a confession to make."

He glanced again at Loki, who gave him another encouraging nod. "Go on."

Bolstered by his partner's affirmation, Mobius found the courage to continue. "We've…been a couple for about a month now," he admitted to B-15, "So, no: pretending to be a couple on a mission won't be a problem, because we won't have to pretend. We just…" He shrugged. "…wanted to keep it to ourselves for a little while."

B-15 blinked at them, apparently bewildered. "Yeah, no shit you two are a couple," she shot right back, "Did you think you were keeping that to yourselves this whole time??"

Both Mobius and Loki were forced to do a double-take at that.

"What?" Loki demanded loudly. (A little too loudly for the office space, to be completely honest.) Spotting Casey passing on his way to the computer banks at the front of the room, he called to him, "Casey, did you already know Mobius and I were together??"

Stopping in his tracks, Casey stared wide-eyed between him, Mobius, and B-15, and when he saw that, Loki was sure that at least he'd been taken by surprise. But then—

"Was I not supposed to?" Casey stammered in return, sounding as though he was afraid he was in trouble.

Hands on his hips, Loki huffed and tipped his head back in exasperation. "It was supposed to be a secret…"

"That would imply that you two thought you were being discreet," O.B. commented mildly from the computers that Casey had been heading toward before being accosted.

Loki was struck speechless. Apparently, everybody already knew about their relationship status.

"Honestly, it's more amazing to hear that you two have officially been together for only a month," B-15 added in a mutter, really driving the point home.

With a groan, Mobius scrubbed a hand down his face, which was now even redder than it had been before. "So much for the big reveal…"
