so, why is it that the transfeminism tags and popular "transfeminist" blogs like mousidy, missstrogen, PDB, etc., lead you to pro-pedophilia blogs so easily?
like, how as a community did we let this fester to the point where it's not even obfuscated behind pedophile dogwhistles and let to exist out in the open?
i think the answer lies in a game of deliberately manipulative telephone, and the basic facts of social media being used by a vulnerable minority.
first, you take predator-blog. she's getting push-back and "harassment" from other blogs who want her rightfully out of the community, because she has already acted on her desire to predate.
then, predator-blog hides the truth of this "harassment." either by giving a fake reason as to why it happened: something that doesn't implicate her as what she is. or she simply vague-posts about it, not using her own platform to amplify it.
this isn't sustainable long-term, though, because there are people who know the truth, including your victims. in order to make sure these things get buried, you need to damage control. HARD.
so predator-blog starts blogging about the oppression of those with paraphilias. how they are unfairly mistreated by society, how they are scapegoated by both sides of the political spectrum as the ultimate boogeyman.
"these people with paraphilias can't help it. they need help from society. kicking them away from support is counterintuitive."
then some more posts about youthlib...
"children in our society aren't being given autonomy. they're a unique social class being oppressed."
she barely even needs to post all that much about it, because her smokescreen is already set-up. here's the perfect alibi:
Anyone bringing up my danger to community is actually responding to these political points, and/or my status as a trans woman. I am being pedojacketed.
all the gatekeeping, the in-group safety precautions of disallowing you a free platform to further abuse others, it's now retroactive proof of transphobia.
the trick is obviously that predator-blog has used progressive-sounding rhetoric to also justify her past behaviour, so others like her who may have similar allegations are further incentivized to poison the well and follow her lead, lest they also get de-platformed from their marks.
this creates a community panic around keeping these trans women safe from "harassment," because trans communities, irl and online, are often isolated and tight-knit by necessity.
now we've created a culture of strict non-acknowledgement of predators in our space. it benefits the predators, and the predators have major incentives to make you believe you're to benefit too. they've tied their issues with being actively dangerous and called out for it with the transfem community's issue of being denied spaces to exist, because they know intuitively to exploit your anxiety.
it's so obvious when you look at the state of things: trans women defending lolicon. trans women saying extreme kinks are inherent to being a trans women. trans women attacking "tRaNsAnDrObRoS" viciously because, surprisingly, the group of people who are likely to be sexually abused keep calling you out for the sexual abusers in your spaces.
the byproduct of all of this, is exactly why you keep seeing those pedophilia apologist and pro-pedophilia blogs. they've taken advantage of an often targeted community and boiled them like frogs.
you should feel absolutely fucking pissed that this has allowed to happen, on a website where trans women congregate, in a political climate where many trans women are safer online.
