Hi! We don't know each other, but I'm reading a book right now and it made me think of you because its about fungi! I don't know if you've ever read it or heard of it, but if you want a book recommendation its called Entangled Life by Merlin Sheldrake. Its about fungi and how they're involved in the environment, humans lives, and a bunch of other cool information!

I'm not super far into it but I've already learned a lot!

It also has a theme song, written by the authors brother Cosmo Sheldrake. The background music of the song is made by electrical signals from oyster mushrooms eating a copy of the book! I don't know if you're interested in it at all, but I thought you would find it interesting regardless.

Ooooohh!!! It’s on my to-read list, but this makes me want to read it more!!! Fungi are such a crucial element of the environment, don’t even get me started!

i've been crying my eyes out because of chronic pain but for some reason it makes my face look more masc ?? a win is a win

one day i really do need to write some essay about the impact of video games on disabled people and their role (at least to me) as a form of usually accessible escapism that can really help me get through flares of symptoms. like for example this past week i've been getting far more muscle weakness episodes than usual for my baseline levels and it's so terrifying to feel pretty much fully locked into my body but when i have some control over my hands during an episode playing video games gives me this triumphant sense of escapism that really cheers me up and helps me almost forget that i am nearly fully immobile and trapped inside my own body, usually fully mentally aware yet unable to physically act a lot of the time, which can be so horrible. but i love the experience of getting immersed into another world and being able to feel as if i am doing these things (stardew valley and no mans sky are both excellent games for this imo) and while this is a very loose point i'm trying to make i think it's really important to me and maybe some other people too to have video games as a form of distraction and idk y'all i just thought this was maybe worth sharing

does anyone have any tips for beginner witches also dealing with physical disability? im really getting into witchcraft again but my chronic pain and its accompanying symptoms are making it pretty tricky to figure out what i should prioritise practicing or learning about as i don't know how much of it will send me into a pain flare or be too confusing on high fatigue days. from what ive looked at so far im pretty drawn to kitchen witchery in specific but am interested in quite a few things.
