I love this chaotic family.

Baby Shinichi with his parents they're so cuuute. Shinichi & Yuusaku look so happy and Yukiko is so soft here. They're reading togetheeer. A perfectly normal family activity (reading murder novels).

I love how Shinichi recognized his mother (even if it's because she didn't really try very hard).

My hc is that Yukiko and Yuusaku were closely following japanese media because Shinichi appeared there often and they've kept up that habit even now that he's Conan.

I love their interactions. Emotional mom and her emotionally awkward son.

Also let's have big blue eyes with mama.

I love how in the old animation Shinichi clearly has the same eye color as his mother… THAT'S HER SON. I swear Shinichi is like 80% Yukiko and 20% Yuusaku.

Shinichi was so proud of himself and Yukiko so proud of her son. They really wanted to tease Yuusaku so bad lmao. That's their love language, they love bullying each other.

Pounty Shinichi so cuute. They're really a pretty family. Also goofy ahh Yuusaku. I would have loved to see more interactions like that from them... PLEASE GOSHO I BEG YOU.

Shinichi is surrounded by homeless teenagers who have run away from abusive homes and are trying to survive. He sees them becoming alcoholics, drug addicts, and sex workers, and he just feels helpless.

He's heartbroken, he's devastated. It's so unfair.

They're still children, they're just kids.

And oh- he realizes, as they look back at him, that he himself is just a child.
