The Mermaid's tears 🗡🌟
The story of a Knight and a Mermaid, a tale of love and tears.
Mermaids are hunted for their healing abilities, many monsters are smuggled illegally, their magic misused by humans. Knights went from killing monsters to rescuing them, investigating crimes all over the kingdom.
So when a group of mercenaries attacked Muirgel in her swamp, Angarhad, a young knight, jumped in to protect her. The knight got badly hurt during the fight but Muirgel healed her. From that day on, Angarhad spend her days with the mermaid.
I'm slowly starting my very own personal collection, for now named Knighthood. The Spring Prince was the very first illustration that felt right and aligned with the vision I have for Knighthood. The Mermaid's tale idea emerged after remembering that May is the Mermay challenge's month. I always loved Mermaids and I had so many ideas... In the end I choose the healing scene 🌟 At the beginning, Muirgel was supposed to be the Knight, but I really wanted to draw a dress armor like so I switched the roles.
