Just thinking about like. Kris getting to have a climactic one on one duel with not only an overblown facsimile of their golden child older brother who they clearly have a lot of very strong and complicated feelings towards that could easily include some resentment, but also a fusion of him and six facets of their own self personified. And then winning. Not just gritting it out but literally kinda just fucking cheating by tossing a turn based battle attack into the middle of an epic clash during a platforming fight lol. Winning in what we might understand as the most Kris way possible.

Unfortunately this is also followed by Kris getting paralleled with the Knight in yet another way when the Knight beats Flowery in exactly the same way oops.

Still. I like to hope they got something satisfying out of all that... They got to be really cool as the sole hero occupying the spotlight, if nothing else. And I love that for them.
