DISABLED TRANS WOMAN & WIFE NEED TO MOVE !!!!!!! AGH FUCK (my wife also got fired! this fucking sucks!)
HI everyone. sorry you haven't heard from me in a while. there's been a lot going on IRL including being sick and courting 2 lovely lesbian trans women from a city we plan to move to. you know me, im a disabled trans woman. my wife, also a trans woman, suffers from chronic pain and fatigue of her own. you know this
so remember how I'd said we'd be completely set for the forseeable future as long as nothing major and unexpected comes up??? So Um. first of all, that was going with the assumption (bc i wholly believed) I was going to be able to get disability benefits here. I have now found out I have been, for several years, chasing disability benefits I was never going to fucking get!!!! They Fucking Lied!!!! They put one tiny piece of small print that even other people looked over and didn't see that meant we would Never have gotten it. Because the government thinks disabled people are better off committing medically assisted suicide than, idk, helping us???
and also. my wife got fired. for stupid reasons. the real reason is that she got sick and took a few too many days off for her liking, but they gave some bullshit but Technically Correct reason to fire her. as much as I'd love to, we don't have the time and money and energy to Fight That in any meaningful way. which means we cannot get unemployment benefits bc she was Fired and not laid off or something.
this sucks. last time my wife job hunted in this shitty town, it took Nine Fucking Months to find something, and we at least had unemployment benefits that time. this time we will not. we cannot fucking afford to do that.
luckily, there is a way out. like i said, we have two lovely girlfriends in the nearby city that we've been trying to move to for years. and we were already planning to move in with them. so. our best option is to uhaul. once we're in the city and living together, they can support me and my wife, and my wife will have a much easier time finding a job in a bigger city.
they can only help so much until we live together, one is employed (but searching for a higher paying job as we speak) and the other just got laid off but is applying for unemployment benefits and job hunting. their focus currently though is saving for whatever deposits and such we may need to move into a new place & also any costs they have for their own needs and lives (as it stands they do not live together yet). so they can only really help us so much. they will help us with our larger goal when they can but its not Guaranteed, so im going to need to ask for help. A Lot More than before.
most of what we need is not immediate, moving costs won't be needed until the end of June, and most of the bills won't be needed until then either. we get a couple small payments over the next month and a half that will be our grocery and gas budgets, so thats not a concern. we have a bit set aside in savings (400 CAD) but preferably we'd like to keep that and not use it all up??? especially bc some of it is supposed to go towards our cat getting fixed. the goal will be assuming we don't have to use up our savings, it will be a last resort if we can't make the goal set.
OUR GOAL IS $1850 CAD ($1345 USD)
$1400 is bills, only $400 of that is bills we need to pay this month
$450 is moving costs, we will not need that until the end of June

Hi everyone, sorry you haven't heard from me for a bit. We've been really busy trying to figure out logistics. Additionally, one of my girlfriends has had to come live with me here for the time being both because my wife has began work in the city early and is staying with our other partner, so this one is here to come take care of me, but also had to come here out of necessity because her living situation became hostile.
