A grimdark world seeps into another world, an overly cheerful world which is filled with happiness and hope all over. Strangely enough it is the grimdark world losing any attempts to invade and affect the other.

Nothing canonical here, just vent Well, I think everyone has done something like this to vent to them, so I can allow myself to do it too.
Birds of a Feather
Columbina: If two guys are on the moon and one guy kills the other guy, is that fucked up or what?
Dottore: What are you doing in my closet?
love this bro so bad
I started a band called 999 Megabytes
We still haven’t gotten a gig.
Zhongli: If I die, my funeral is going to be the biggest party ever and you’re all invited Ei: If? Venti: Great, the only party I’ve ever been invited to and they might not even die.
Viruses mutate over time, take Covid for example…
It started as a pandemic, and now it’s become an IQ test.
Thoma: Ayato and I have started playing a new kind of chess where you sit on the floor with a rabbit running around. You have to win the game before the rabbit ruins the board, but if you try to stop it then you lose. If you don’t finish the game then the rabbit wins
Ayaka: What’s the score so far?
Thoma: Neither of us have actually won a game yet
i dont think The Customer Is Always Right is a policy kaiba believes in or would ever implement. i think the baristas at the kaibacorp cafe are allowed to yell at you if you try to order a latte you saw on instagram
I don’t think it’s healthy, this adult obsession with asking young kids what they want to be when they grow up
like, these kids are already being raised in a capitalist freakshow of a society wherein a person’s worth as a human being is heavily determined by income and profession. can we at least give them a childhood without constant reminders that that shitty standard will apply to them too?
a child’s personality is not defined by what career they may or may not pursue 20 years from now, so stop using “What do you want to be when you grow up?” as a defining question.
the ‘When You Grow Up’ Question, as I like to call it, might seem like an innocent way to get kids talking about their interests, but it has several major drawbacks:
frames a child’s interests (and their value as a person) as valuable in the far-off future (when they are an adult), not the here-and-now…
…and valuable because of profitability, not because of the joy it brings
is overused, too generic to convey genuine interest, inflicts anxiety, becomes damaging & exhausting over time,
puts unnecessary pressure on kids. sets up the (stressful, unrealistic) expectation that career goals should be part of childhood identity, and children should be planning their adult lives (instead of just being children while they can).
a lot of adults don’t understand how to respond in an appropriate manner! they will respond with “that’s not a real job” or “you won’t make much money doing that,” which is not a helpful reaction when a 4-year-old tells you they want to be a polar bear or a baker. (It’s also not a helpful reaction when a teenager tells you they want to be an artist or musician, btw.)
the notes of this very post are full of adults & teens sharing unhappy childhood memories. no matter what the intention, we can see from firsthand testimony that this question is causing real and lasting harm.
“How else am I supposed to talk to children?” ASK THEM about their INTERESTS!!! Kids have like a MILLION hobbies and interests, they are so gash darn INTERESTED in the world! Ask them about those!!! Ask them:
What books/movies/music do you like?
What’s your favorite animal?
What’s your favorite weird animal?
What’s the worst animal? Name 3 terrible animals. Yes Scar from the Lion King counts.
What’s your favorite type of toy/pet/plant/rock? Yes I would love to see your Rock Collection
Do you know any jokes?
What’s the funniest word you can think of?
If you lived in the ocean would you have flippers or a tail?
What 3 superpowers would you choose and what would be your Secret Hero Weakness?
What do you want to talk about?
Most kids love to talk about their interests—if they think you might genuinely be interested. But too many children are used to having their interests dismissed or shut down by adults, and have learned to distrust the ‘When You Grow Up’ Question for precisely that reason. So ask different, more thoughtful questions—and be careful to respond positively. Kids (of all ages) deserve positivity: they deserve to be excited about the world, and to have their excitement reflected back at them. Do Not Drain Their Joy!!!
Diluc: There are three ways to handle a difficult situation. The right way, the wrong way, and the Venti way.
Aether: Isn't that the wrong way?
Diluc: Yes, but it's faster.
Lumine: Why does Thoma always do the laundry so loudly?
Ayaka: So everyone knows that no one helps him out.
Thoma, in the distance: *slams the washing machine shut*
Diluc: There are three ways to handle a difficult situation. The right way, the wrong way, and the Venti way.
Aether: Isn't that the wrong way?
Diluc: Yes, but it's faster.
Zhongli: When I was your age, we didn't even have cell phones.
Hu Tao: Yeah, but you had stuff that we don't have, like dinosaurs.
Zhongli: How old do you think I am?
Diluc: You took my brother's virginity!
Childe: Sorry, sir. It won't happen again.
Jean: Why are there little handprints all over the wall?
Albedo, whispers: Why are there little handprints all over the wall?
Klee, whispers: Because I have little hands.
Albedo: Because she has little hands.
