6/3/21, 6/4/21, and 6/5/21
This piece took me a few days to complete!
On 6/3, I started this piece. This piece is inspired by my mom because she loves wine and shopping! I worked on the woman and the background today. I had a hard time figuring out how to draw the glass and make it see-through, but I eventually learned that I needed to use separate layers for each piece of the glass and wine.
On 6/4, I almost completed the piece. I worked on the bags and fixing the jeans to make them fit the style of the rest of the piece better. I had some trouble with the shadows and highlights on the jeans, but after playing with it a bit, I was able to make it fit in very well. Additionally, for the bags, I had a hard time finding the best way to organize and draw them. After looking at a reference photo, I was able to make them neater and it was a lot easier for me to do which helped me realize that something as small as a bag could look so much better with a reference photo!
Today, 6/5, I worked on the finishing touches! I learned over the past few weeks that waiting until the next day to analyze my piece and fix anything small is very helpful and makes it a lot easier to find the smaller mistakes.
This was thee last week of my senior project. I am so happy with how this project went as I feel as though I learned a lot! I had so much fun focusing on a topic that I am very passionate about and I feel much more open to trying new things. I am excited to continue learning more about new techniques in the future and hope to continue posting here in the future when exploring different techniques!
