¡Buenos días! My name is Emma Jordens. I'm 17 years old and I study Marketing & Entrepreneurship at Sint Maria Geel. My school gave me the opportunity to do a 3-week internship at the company FitIn Valencia in May. I'm really looking forward to lear more about the Spanish culture in Valencia. Stay tuned!

¡ Holaaaa!

Today is our last day in beautiful Valencia. How much I enjoyed this city! Everyone is super friendly, there is good weather, the beautiful architecture….

Not only Valencia was great but also my internship place. FitIn Valencia was a super fun internship place. I learned a lot, especially in the field I want to pursue later. I am very grateful to Fleur for giving me this opportunity, and if I come back to Valencia in the future I will definitely book a bike tour with her.

I'm super proud of myself for doing this and I haven't regretted it for a second! I will never forget this adventure!

Holaaaaaa!!!!

Yesterday was a really special day! In the morning Merel and I took the last pictures for FitIn Valencia. We went to two churches namely the San Nicolás church and Santos Juanes church and the Silk Museum.

In the afternoon we had an appointment with our internship mentor and two teachers in café Federal. here we received our official certificate for the 3 weeks internship abroad.

This is our last full weekend we will spend in Valencia… but that doesn't mean we have to have less fun. I went to see a lot this weekend. Even though I had already seen most of it, Valencia still gives you the "wow effect". 😊

we were planning to do a boat tour this evening, but unfortunately that was not possible… Nevertheless, we are still going to make it an unforgettable evening!

Hi guys! 

Yesterday Merel and I went to take photos at the beach, the port, the modern city in Valencia and Turia park for our internship. Our mentor said we could feel free to make it a beach day so we definitely did!

The sun was so strong that I am now seeing as red as a lobster 🦞☀️ ... but it was definitely a successful day!

Hello everyone

Last weekend we did all kinds of fun activities. yesterday we went shopping during the day and in the evening there were really big fireworks at plaça de l'ajuntament. It was so loud it literally made the ground shake! today we went to rent a bike and had a beach day, where we ate delicious paella.

in short, we had a great weekend!

Just another update... Today, Merel and I edited some photos we took yesterday. In the afternoon we went on a bike tour with Fleur our mentor. We were allowed to take pictures when Fleur was doing her tour.

It was another beautiful day with lots of sun and fun!

Today, together with the teachers, we met Fleur van de Put at Federal cafe Valencia. Fleur has her own company 'FitIn Valencia' where she does her own Dutch-language bike tours. we discussed some important things like where and when I should work and what tasks I would be given.

In the afternoon, I went to take photos of 'Plaza de Toros de Valencia' for fleur's website with Merel, who is also doing her internship at FitIn Valencia. Merel had her camera with her and taught me a lot about how to take a good photo.

It was a very interesting day today and I have already learned a lot. Till later!

Yesterday was our first full day in Valencia. We started the day by exploring the city. In the afternoon, we did a bicycle tour of the city with my internship mentor, Fleur van de Put. It was great fun and we got to see a lot of the city in a sporty way.

Hi everyone, today marks the start of our journey in Valencia. We had a good flight and the appartment is really big and comfortable. I’m already looking forward to explore this city more and learn about their culture.

Hi everyone! Today I did some research on Valencia. The city centre is a very old one. They call it "Ciutat Vella". Valencia was founded by the Romans in 138 BC with the name "Valentia". You can still see some ruins from Roman times and the Visigoths in la plaza de la Almoina. I can't wait to see this city in real life and taste the traditional paella in their local restaurants.
