I wish JtV had addressed the parallels between Alba and Petra in their immigration storyline: how Petra and Alba both came to the US with nothing, illegally, and Alba had spent her whole life being terrified that she would be deported, whereas Petra, despite literally still being an illegal immigrant by the end of the show, had never once had to be afraid, because she was a rich white woman. I mean I guess they figured it went without saying, but still, I think it would’ve been interesting if they’d said it anyway.
