Gisella Perl was forced to work as a doctor in Auschwitz concentration camp during the holocaust.
She was ordered to report ever pregnant women do the physician Dr. Josef Mengele, who would then use the women for cruel experiments (e.g. vivisections) before killing them.
She saved hundreds of women by performing abortions on them before their pregnancy was discovered, without having access to basic medical supplies. She became known as the “Angel of Auschwitz”.
After being rescued from Bergen-Belsen concentration camp she tried to commit suicide, but survived, recovered and kept working as a gynecologist, delivering more than 3000 babies.
I want to nail this to the forehead of every anti-abortionist who uses the word “Holocaust” when talking about legal abortions.

Life update
1. I moved across the country for a job I didn’t anticipate getting until at least a few more years into my career. 2. It has been incredibly hard and growing for me. 3. I love the people here. 4. I’m in love with the kindest man. This is gross and disgusting but he is an adventure but also so so safe. 5. Winter does not really exist here. It is.amazing. 6. I miss my best friends in PA. 7. PA was never home and I am learning how to put down roots and feel safe here.
mike’s hard look at yourself
I may not have the best body but it sure does hold all my organs in place
this is the type of positivity i need.

Soulmates are not your ~other half~, that’s just nonsense. You are a whole person already, not half a person. A soulmate isn’t even inherently romantic. A soulmate is just the other sock in a matched set. You’re still a whole, complete sock on your own, you are perfectly functional paired with any other sock, it’s just that it’s even better when you match. A soulmate is literally just the person who makes your soul go “!!! Same hat!!!” and wave excitedly.
i love this
this is literally the only interpretation of “soulmate” that I can tolerate or accept
