Capitalism fatigue is real.
Where do we turn?
We are currently at a political crossroads in history.
The beliefs of the facists are pandered to by those in power, normalising dangerous ideologies in today’s politics (the shifting in the Overton window), wealth disparities are growing at an unprecedented rate, with the top 26 billionaires own the same wealth as poorest 3.8 billion people, about 50% of the worlds population today! Automation under capitalism has been skewed to damage the working class, allowing the elitist class to horde levels of wealth beyond belief.
Proxy Wars between destructive capitalist state superpowers are being fought on the homes of our proletariat comrades in the third world. As all of this goes on, the habitability of our planet dwindles with each passing hour due to overexploitation of its natural resources by corporations to turn a profit. Mental health is also a serious problem on today’s society, which can be blamed on the alienation and hyperindividualism that advanced capitalism promotes.
With Global politics and society in it’s current state, it is normal to believe there is no escape from the evils of today, but acceptance of such nihilistic beliefs should never be one’s final stop in poltical discussion.
We need change. Not the changes of old, that of the burgeois, with petty socialism under “liberal” ideology, still allowing the existence of the root of the problem, capitalism. Useless reforms that make insignificant changes that still allows the exploitation and authoritarian control of the working class by elites. Instead, we need the implementation of actual change, for example, a delagative software based democracy in place of the tyranny in today’s representative democracy or, allowing state regulation of the economy to allow the recovery of our planet, and subsequently the human race, over the next 100 years. The people require and demand changes that will strive for a true egalitarian society where basic necessities are met and every person has equality of opportunity, in which a person may not be bonded in the wage slavery of today, but allowed to follow their own dreams and aspirations. A society based on a simple belief “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs"
