Vanitas cannot fathom being loved back. Defining what romance itself means comes up frequently enough in manga, and Vanitas explicitly states at one point that he entertains the possibility of 'romantic' pursuit only when he knows the other person won't entertain his pursuit and won't reciprocate it back to him.
That's Lithromantic/Akoiromantic to a T! He falls sick when he is faced with the prospect of reciprocal romance. He sweats profusely, looks like the spooked Tails meme simply thinking of reciprocal romance. The label fits him like a glove!
I just think that arospec flavoured Lynnick. Lithro Nick who can't keep up when others reciprocate his feelings and bails when his partners get serious because he's terrible at communicating it. Aro Lynn who doesn't return any romantic feelings and neither of them expects anything beyond what the other is comfortable giving.

“Sleeves! We need two of those,” Sixx groaned, rifling through their wardrobe in the Wrangler. Boone, who was standing behind him, pacing lightly around the room, simply grunted. Sixx’s voice turned incredulous, as she stared at the pile of clothes that had amassed on the floor, “How do I own this many,” she pointed at them all, “shirts, and not a single one without a tear, rip, or unidentifiable stain?”
Boone grunted again, “Go to Mick and Ralph’s?”
Sixx sighed, and fiddling with the straps of their dungarees, pulled away from the wardrobe. The shirt they wore was grey, but it lacked a left shoulder, a jagged tear where it had been sacrificed in combat. His white hair was long, tied in twin plaits, one of which sat over each shoulder. Boone wore a white shirt, and brown cargo trousers, with his first recon beret upon his head, and his rifle slung over his shoulder. He tossed Sixx her own beret, which she rested upon her head.
“Shopping time!” They chirped, having pulled on a pair of NCR combat boots identical to Boone’s own.
“Why do you need a shirt, exactly?” Boone questioned, as he followed Sixx out of the door.
Sixx hummed, and tilted her head to one side, “For Lila’s show!” He turned to Boone, smiling, “We can’t go to the Aces Theatre dressed like we just fought a Legion patrol.”
“You did the first time.”
Cheerily, Sixx giggled, and elbowed Boone in the ribs, “Well, I’m a guest, this time. We both are. Sixx and Friend!”
Boone just nodded, long used to Sixx’s antics and justifications.
Then, Sixx hummed, “Well, actually Lila said it was for a Plus One. And then I asked her what a Plus One was.”
Slowly, Boone nodded, not having a clue where Sixx was going.
“And apparently it’s someone who you’re in love with?”
He nodded again, still unsure as to where this conversation was headed.
“But I don’t fall in love. With anyone.” Sixx sounded a bit confused, “I mean, I love things and people, but not like that.”
Still clueless, he nodded once more.
“So, I asked if I could bring a friend. She said yes.” Sixx hummed, “I asked Arcade about it. There’s a word for it, aromantic.”
Boone was starting to understand now, even if he didn’t quite understand how Sixx’s story was relevant.
“Noora is too. She mentioned it when I asked Arcade.”
He nodded for a final time, “Good for you.”
Sixx grinned so wide Boone swore their face would split in half, and he felt a small grin of his own tug at his lips.
