You know what trope I want to see more of? Platonic parents.
Where a character is adopted by a father and mother figure, but the two parents aren’t romantically interested in each other.
Maybe the mom and dad are good friends, or maybe they don’t even know each other except through the character they consider their child.
Like Kara and Luther from Detroit, who came together to take care of Alice but never had any romantic hints or romantic scenes together and never became a canon couple. Or Arima and Akira from Tokyo Ghoul, who separately became father and mother figures of Kaneki and never were romantically involved but knew each other as co-workers.
I know mother figures and father figures are common tropes, but rarely are they used together on the same character. It’s something I really want more of.
Since I can't see Pinkie with any colts (I hc she's lesbian) I think she and Cheese are qpps! They would both love the term zucchini and use it all the time. I think Cheese is mspec so I'd go with pan, bi, or poly for him!
I ship Pinkie with a lot of mares so I feel she would definitely have romantic partners outside of her qpp. I feel she's ambiamorous or poly, probably, while Cheese prefers one mare/colt/etc so it's a mono-poly qpr!
They're zucchinis who raise Little Cheese together, who might get married, who moved in together, who are devoted to one another and love each other in a non romantic sense. Maybe they screw around behind closed doors, maybe they sleep in seperate beds or cuddle just about every night. Maybe their relationship is confusing to others on the outside but really all that matters is the fact they know what their relationship is.
