Okay so like, I was playing this game and one of the missions was like, to beat levels using an emoji with big ears? So I totes picked this girl with a flower in her hair that looked just like me because like, obvi, I have big ears! And I was like, oh em gee, for once I’m getting rewarded for that. Except then when I got to the end of the level I got like, zero credit for the work I’d done and now I’m like, who is Emoji Blitz to tell me what size my ears are or aren’t? Like excuse me, if my ears are big to me then why isn’t that good enough for your game? I so don’t get it.

To be honest, I don’t think anyone would’ve noticed your ear size if you hadn’t just made a PSA about it. I sure as hell didn’t. But I don’t get what you’re pissed at. It’s just a game. Emotional investment in those is entertaining to watch but not wise for the psyche, everyone knows that; no one made that game for you to feel bad about yourself so can you just, like.... not?

Adam: Maybe they think your hair's lucky? Or... I don't know, I'm not a hair toucher so beats me why they'd do it! I don't know if yummy is like a sexy thing or just like, someone's so cute they remind you of a cupcake or a sprinkle cookie, I'm not sure! Oh yeah! Although you have to be careful with those, have you ever found one that's like... the movie, but it's on a static picture of an Asian family watching TV and the TV screen is tilted and that's where the movie plays?

Adam: People looked like they were almost drowning! And they were rolling fake boulders at them! And apparently making them lift REAL silver! Also the temple looked kind of small, I feel like people ran way farther than that in elementary school P.E.! The only real excuse to me is anxiety about the Temple Guards, they were terrifying!

Maya: I wish it was lucky lol then I would just keep all the luck for myself :-P Have you ever noticed so many terms for calling someone hot also sound like calling them food? Like delicious or scrumptious or whatever. It's weird lol who wants to bone their food? And no? That sounds weirdly specific though so I'm guessing you've found that before. I either end up finding images with links or just the movie.

Maya: You just listed a ton of things that make it sound hard though, just saying. And distance looks weird on camera, it could've been far. The only way to know would be to do it yourself.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure I’m good on that front unless Winter and I shit-play it for my AuraTube channel. That I, you know, haven’t gotten off the ground yet, but whatever, I will eventually. I didn’t have the patience to catch 150 or to get through rock caves then, and I won’t have the patience to make it through the same level just jumbled up on a Lego board or whatever now with like 1000 Pokemon instead. But you have fun. Or don’t. Watching Pokemon is a you problem, not a me one. 

I didn't know you had an AuraTube, that's cool. It not getting off the ground isn't surprising though, those things are hard to keep up. I’ve wanted to do one for my art before but it takes too long between creating content and I'd probably get bored of it fast anyway. I have no clue how people do it.

Because people are scared of originality. Because nostalgia is an easy money-grab for the Auradonian bunch. Because it’s the most profit for the least amount of effort. Take your pick. Either way, be glad that our government isn’t oppressive enough yet to force you to buy it. I personally plan on watching over Adam’s shoulder to see if it’s worth the hype. If you want, after that I can fill you in but I’m pretty sure we both know it’s not going to be anything groundbreaking.

Adam: Reasons that feel like excuses! They should have trained better before they entered such an intense competition, I'd never throw a rookie into an intense online gaming tournament! I don't think that's on air either anymore, but maybe the set's still up somewhere?

Maya: People touch my head more than you'd think, I guess! Colorful hair seems to do that :-P it wouldn't take long at all to be POPPED. I personally don't go around thinking people look "yummy" but it must be possible - snack is a term now for a reason lol. Good idea, AuraTube has a lot of hidden gems. My favorite thing is accidentally finding a whole movie on there lol.

Maya: They probably didn't think it was THAT intense, wasn't it on a kids show? They sound like valid reasons to ME, just hearing how people did it at all sounds exhausting lol. Guess we gotta look for the set! I want to see you put your money where your mouth is.

Maya: If you ask me, 'cool' is a lot more synonymous with 'boring and predictable'. There's always more chaos within form, as anyone who's ever seen my canvases will tell you. And its not nitpicky. Fear is a specific and important emotion. Surprise works a lot better for whatever it is you do though idk how anyone around you is ever surprised anymore. You'd think they'd learn to expect weird shit.

Adam: I just looked it up and apparently it got bought out by Twister! So they still make them, they've just been folded into a bigger brand, how fun! I watched those on AuraTube, I think I would have been a great Orange Head. And I also think I would have been really, really good at Nickelodeon Arcade, why don't we have a game show like that? Legends of the Hidden Temple was pretty cool too, because it used your brain AND your body, but the Silver Monkey, why were people so bad at it? Why, Maya, why?

Maya: How very Monopoly of them lol. I hated those commercials, oh god - turning someone's head into fruit isn't even creative or fun magic. Plus it looked really freaky. I'm not sure I know what Nickelodean Arcade was though, elaborate. I did Google Silver Monkey Legends of the Hidden Temple though and an interviee said why they found it hard.

Maya: "I know but you gotta remember that the Temple was ginormous," Fogg replied. "It was all the way down at the other side so by the time you get down there, first of all you're really out of gas. Then it's all silver, okay? And then the base seems like the pretty easy one to do but sometimes you can get it turned around the wrong way. But then it was the second piece — that was the tough one."
