this has kind of nothing to do with writing but i've been thinking of moving to sweden a lot lately and i kinda want to know someone's view of the country, i understand u are from there!

Yes, I live in Stockholm. And it depends. Sweden definitely it’s not for everyone.

Winters are dark and heavy, and if you’re not used to this type of weather, it can affect you pretty badly. Seasonal depression is a big thing here. And it’s not just the weather, people tend to be cold too. I think it’s in our nature, (although I’m not like that, or at least that’s what I keep hearing from my foreign friends, haha).

People are not rude to you, but they don’t really form deep connections, it’s more superficial. Summers are long and beautiful. We have the “midnight sun,” which is lovely. There’s a lot of beautiful nature and many nice places.

The healthcare system is quite good. As for the job market, it depends a lot on your profession. It can be hard to find a job, but again, it really depends on your career.In terms of safety, it’s a pretty safe country compared to others.

Overall, it’s not bad, but if you really want to move here, think about these things. I have friends who move back home during the winter because it can be that hard. Socially, it can be a bit tough too. Otherwise, it’s a place that can really help you grow, with a lot of opportunities.

I want to be an actress but at the same time it’s hard af and my country sucks at this chapter 💔 that’s why I need a backup plan. Thank u for being kind!! 💕💕

Oh, that’s so nice! As long as you’re really passionate about something, why not go for it? I remember back in high school, I kind of “dabbled” in acting myself. I’ve always had a big imagination, as you can see 👀. And for a while, I actually did some acting too. I even wrote a whole play for the school theater, and we performed it during the school celebration days(looking back at it, i am actually proud of it, i wrote the script although I had some help here, directing, acting, choosing the “cast” everything). Hahaha, such good times… I still have a copy of the script at home, can you believe it? After all these years…

When Stellan started teaching acting classes at the theater, I even thought about showing up 😆 but honestly? I’ve always seen it more as a hobby, and if you’re not fully committed, it’s not really worth it.

Anyway, you should definitely give it a try if it’s something you truly want with all your heart. And yeah, in the art world, having a backup plan is always a smart move 😅
