What’s one aspect about Minecraft you wish would be different?
the dyes
also i wish the block “pieces” were added in a way that was more universal. like, instead of having a separate block for minecraft:stone_slab, we could just have minecraft:stone and because it is a full block there’s automatically a minecraft:stone:slab, minecraft:stone:stair, minecraft:stone:wall, etc. oh and vertical slabs. But I guess that’s more than one so just the dyes please

im gonna sound fucking high; but there’s just something about minecraft ‘body language’, man.
the way people crouch and do little bounces/bows to say hello, i’m friendly! the way they punch as a substitute for pointing or waving hello. the slow pulling out of weapon as a threat, quickly removing armor to show you are peaceful. sticking little signs in the ground and writing messages. the way people‘s avatars go still when they are thinking, or laughing so much their hands came off the keyboard. square eye contact. jumping, spinning, bobbing your head to music. punching your friend jokingly.
half of it is human perception but the other half is ways of communication we created ourselves, because people just are like that. they express themselves.
i know its just a block game but looking at it is so soothing and im feeling emotional tonight
This is something I find deeply fascinating. The sheer amount of emotion our little block men can communicate. There’s something really human about how we perceive emotion and body language, and it’s genuinely fascinating that we’ve created another set of in-game “rules” for communication.
i propose some more little minecraft body language things!!!
blocking??? there are so many different meanings when you’re blocking!!! sneaking while blocking is a sign of surrender!! (i’d fucking know) while just blocking at someone is normally a taunt!!! and then bouncing at someone while doing that old school block with your sword??? friendly!!! how did we come up with this??? idk!!!!!
spinning!!! you’ve ever been on a server and just see someone start fucking spazzing??? and how you instantly, without question, spin with them???? its so sweet!!!! omg!!!!
this ones weirder, but i love love LOVE watching people scroll thru their hotbar,, looking for that one important item they need,,, scroll little buddy!!!!
sneaking is so. its so good. op already brought this up but ACK!! sneaking at someone random only for them to start bouncing and sneaking back!!!!!! aWA!!! and snuggles!!!! with animals too!!!

With every update Minecraft becomes less lonely, we started on just endless plains of grass with nothing in sight and now there’s life everywhere
The quiet sadness is beginning to fade from this once desolate world. The bees are returning to the forests. You can hear the chirping of parrots in the jungles and the yipper of foxes scurrying through the trees. The villagers have rediscovered agriculture, smithery, and finer arts like brewing and tapestry. Some have even tamed llamas and begun to travel the world.
Once barren depths, the ocean floors are now full of life, from the coral reefs now growing in warm waters to the ships that have floated to surface, all brimming with cheerful dolphins, turtles, and all kinds of fish. Even the zombies seem to have found a home under the sea, where many have taken up fishing as a hobby.
So much beauty is returning to our world.
Because the words spoken so long ago are finally coming true without as they have always been within.
And the universe said I love you.
And the universe said you are love.
And the universe said you are stronger than you know.

the warden: a blind mob that tracks you by the sounds you make
So cave update recap
-new light source with glowberries that can be eaten. They are orange/yellow and found on vines
-new tree, follow the roots down to find lush caves
-EDIT: new flower! Particles fall where it is placed (on ceiling). Is pink and very lovely
-leaf plants that you can stand on for a little while before the leaf tilts down and you fall off. Resets itself.
-lush caves, caves including vines and moss
-wire variety in cave generation, tight narrow corridors, large open caverns, possibly new structures left behind (ambiguous)
-new mob called the Warden. This mob is blind and can be distracted by sounds/vibrations. Hits hard.
-candles!
-sculk growths in caves, which are dark fungal patches. Sculk sensors respond to vibrations, allowing revolutionary wireless redstone
-improved mountains, including a new powder snow, which looks like normal snow but you fall right through!
-goats! Very cute, will headbutt you off the cliff though, be careful.
-crystals!!Titled biome (?) as amethyst geodes. When walked on, they create mystical chime sounds. The crystals can be harvested to get crystal shards. They grow from am unobtainable block, a bit like a spawner
-copper! Copper ore will be generated in veins to add more strategy to mining. Copper blocks, slabs, and stairs can be made. After placing, these copper blocks will age with time and turn green just like real life
-telescope! Crafted with crystal shards and copper, this acts as a zoom function.
-lightning rod, made of copper. Means lightning will strike THAT and not your wooden roof.
-bundles! Click or drag your items into the bundles, click to remove them too, you can place many different items into one bundle. Saves inventory space! Can probably hold 1 stack
-ARCHEOLOGICAL EXCAVATIONS
New structures found around the world. New item of the brush. Brush blocks like gravel and dirt to sometimes find loot. (Possibility of gravel and dirt slabs if you stop halfway?? Maybe.) brush the rubble slowly or you’ll destroy the item. Ceramic shards can be found, as well as riches such as emerald and diamond blocks. These ceramic shards can be placed on a clay pot, that when fired, will preserve the piece!
-AXOLOTLS - found swimming in caves. Seemingly a brown and pink variety? Can be caught in a bucket. Once caught and released, they will swim with you and help you attack guardians and drowned! When they are damaged, they play dead until they regen. Other mobs won’t attack them when they play dead. It you battle well, they may heal you in battle
-new lillypad variation? Possibly
-Glowsquid won the vote!!! #glowgang
EDIT: forgot stalactites and stalagmites! Stalactites will fill a cauldron with water, and will fall from the ceiling if the block above is broken. Slatagmites act as spikes in the ground!
Aimed release date for this update is around summer 2021

Was on the Minecraft seeds subreddit when I found what could be one of the greatest seeds ever found. Special thanks go to Plebiain and Seed Hunt for finding this.
It has many rare biomes within 2048 blocks of the world’s origin. There’s mega taiga, ice spikes, extreme hills, shattered savanna, a flower forest, and even a mushroom island. Hell, you even spawn near a bamboo jungle and some eroded badlands.
To make things even better, there are at least two of each structure, also within 2048 blocks of the origin. Igloos. Portals. Swamp huts. And, of course, mansions.
The seed is 1191961552361, and works with the last two updates. It should be roughly the same on Bedrock.
