if you dont mind me asking, what kind of paper are your prints on? ive been thinking about switching to something a little more heavy that will hold up better for prints.
I ordered through catprint, these are the specs I used for 8.5x11 (document size) and 5×7 (large postcard size) prints.
unfortunately I don't know the lb, but thickness and texture-wise it's nearly indistinguishable from watercolor paper you'd buy at an art store (maybe a little glossier, I wouldn't paint on them or anything).
If you're curious about ordering from a different service, most self-respecting print companies send samples of their options on request. Hard to get a feel for paper from photos.
most surprising is that this option is super resistant to rubbing off. I've gotten standard glossy and matte prints from the same service, if I don't package them carefully, the ink rubs off slightly leaving white smudges. Meanwhile I don't think I've seen a single print on this paper show ANY wear, even though I've traveled with them a ton and wasn't always super gentle.
The one caveat (other than higher price point) is I probably wouldn't get this paper for larger prints, might be unwieldy to roll up or transport due to thickness. But maybe other experienced printers can contradict that. It's also slightly off white, which I actively wanted for these pieces, but you might not.
