Social faux pas I committed at work today, my first day:

My boss asked why I'm getting my MPA, and I said I want one of those fake email jobs that makes 80k a year (we work for a career center, so I'm not supposed to say things like fake email jobs 😔)

He explained the leadership model we're basing our program off of, and I was like "oh what are the empirical studies behind this model," and well. Leadership is fake. So there are none.

Joked I was Stockholm Syndromed into coming back to this office as a graduate assistant

He asked what advice we should give to incoming freshmen and I said to tell them there's a syphilis epidemic where we live so they should use protection. I used to be an RA, so I forgot talking about condoms is taboo at work.
