I love reading classic books because I get part way through one and I suddenly realise that despite its prevalence in pop culture, I don't actually know what it's about, or how it ends.
and that is great. because then I get to read the rest of it and then, finally, I sit there and I go "oh, fuck, THAT'S why it's a classic!"

Stay with me. Share my food and fire. I would be delighted to share what little I have with you and would be greatly helped by your companionship. And you… you could read to me. Make this your home and I your friend. Friend. Friend.

I wanted the movie to test the capabilities of every single craft in moviemaking. There are huge sets, huge props, complex wardrobe. I wanted it to feel like an old movie that was made in the heyday of Hollywood. Luscious, and beautiful, and operatic and all that. [...] 'cause I didn't want the audiance to go, "Oh, it's digital," because once you introduce that, it's like a license for people not to believe things. [...] If you do it for real, people have a sense.

Breaking Dawn imprinting really pisses me off because the whole werewolves' issue with Bella dying could've been resolved had Jacob put off the "I am the real alpha and i will follow no one" speech when Bella turned bc she was gonna die. That would've been enough.
He couldve continued to pine but also face the reality that his Bella is a vampire now and that he sincerely doesn't like it and feel their bond is dissolving. He sticks around and offers protection until the Vultori thing was resolved, tribe and Cullens make a new treaty now that they know what Reggaeton is, then ghosts Bella for good.
30 years later Bella tracks him down when her life becomes mundane and she finishes high school with her daughter, husband and in laws for the 3rd time, and she finds him living his best life as a human, salt and pepper hair and hot af, with his own family and a thriving auto repair shop... everything Bella could've had (except he's not dating a white girl coz he learned).
nobody tears through library books quite as fast as a 12 yr old girl with no friends
