It was a regular afternoon, one of those in which you forced rin to take a break from practice cuz he sprained his ankle the evening before.So,here you both were lazing around in your room with a book while he tried to let his anger go by following some monk technique that included him staring at the ceiling deep in thought.
Then suddenly he sat holding wrist in your face.
"What.?" You said looking up."Hairtie." You blinked,this was new I mean sure Rin had a habbit of taking your things and cherishing items you had given him.This included him taking an empty lip almost just for keepsakes,keeping the bracelets and rings you made during your beadworking phase but him asking for your things was new and it surprised you to say the least.
"My what?" "Hairtie.Gimme your Hairtie." You blinked once then twice
You slipped the hair accessory off the disaster on your head you called a bun and wrapped it around his wrist.
The pink and black stripped fabric adorned his wrist and you swore you saw him smile.
He sat back up and kissed your cheek like that was enough for looting but then again it always worked and he wasn't complaining.
You put the book on the nightstand sitting a bit straighter "Where's my thank you, hmm?" He smirked ,Rin loved when you guys bantered it always felt nice to be a sweet boy in love his girl at times."alright alright thank you very much for bestowing your precious belonging upon me."
You smiled ,finally satisfied and wrapped your arms around his neck " Why'd you want it anyway?"
" Just like having things that remind me I'm yours." He said reciprocating the hug like he hadn't just said the most vulnerable thing anyone as emotionally constipated as him could say.Your heart rate sped up as you buried your face in the crook of his neck.
Yours.He said he liked being yours.Rin said he likes being yours.
"I like beings yours too,rin."
Now it was his turn to get flushed as he used you to hide from you, pressing a kiss under your ear.
" you can't just say stuff like that.."
"Why,can't handle it?" You said pulling away enough to cup his face squishing his cute dumpling cheeks in your palms as he looked the random Mcafferty poster on the wall like it had grown horns.
"I also wanna let you know how much you mean to me."
Those were the last words that lift your lips before they were pressed against his.
