can we put him down or something
will smith anxiety (x, x, x, x, x, x)
BC line haunts the narrative weekend and also Ryan Leonard enters the villa Love Island game AND ALSO giving Will a two day break in Washington DC immediately after Valentine’s Day. The scheduler was definitely Willeno over WillMack.
Truly so much to unpack in such a condensed period of scheduling. 😂
are we interrupting......?

Will said he was still taking summer classes to finish his degree and started doing so last summer. He was already at BC for one year, so he needs three years or 6 semesters worth of credits to graduate. It’s doable over the summers, and money isn’t an issue. I think a gossip blog or something got an anon in June saying that he and Leno were signed up for an in person class that started in June. So it does seem probable he wants to finish his degree which is really great! I want more hockey players to have a college education.
it would be absolutely amazing if he was finishing his degree!!! and i know the smith family strongly values education so i wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if he was! i do think the leno/will in person classes thing was debunked though im pretty sure? ryan is in amherst in the offseason so in person bc classes is a little unlikely. +++ looks like BC only offers very very limited in person courses over the summer with majority of them being online asynchronous. i was just super curious because it’s definitely a long commitment that not every nhl player goes through and i kept seeing everyone talking about it but not much quoted info to find. i’d be ecstatic if he was taking courses in his downtime :)
i'm obsessed with this pic.
WILL SMITH ✧ 240104 We've played Sweden in two gold medal games the past two years, so I think that's a rivalry now and uh, it's 1-1 in that match... Obviously we have the semifinals coming up so both of us need to get there, but there's definitely a rivalry there.
If anything it's the other way around lol didn't Whatchaos or another pod say Mack is uninteresting without Will? People need to give him more credit
yes my close personal friends pete and dj did say that about mack HOWEVER i don't think it's true for mack either. i do think they make each other's lives more interesting in their own ways but neither of the are the most interesting thing about the other

vinny describing will on ice as "smitty smells blood"...... such a way to say it. also wm being a pain in the ass together
16:10 | some people don't see how good smitty is! he smells blood; sometimes you're like he's not doing anything today, then bam! he scores; you're like where were you today, didn't see you. not the guy you'll see during all the game, not same style as mack at all. can't compare but reminds me of sid/geno not comparing him to geno, his skillset is unique. smitty smells blood -- translation cred: @yuribrini
thank you for this gift anon! what a (thematically apt) way to put it. smitty smells blood. shark in the water, hungry for the kill. and i've said this before, but will is a sneaky sort of player. he's never going to be mack, who is 110% compete 110% of the time, or even sherwood, who is never not fighting (for the puck or against the other guy, either one works for chief kief). both of those are what i call "feelgood hockey" bc it's goddamn fun to watch. it feels good to see our guys working so hard!
by contrast, will's style of play is often critiqued as lazy or streaky; and i'm not saying he can't rev his motor a bit more. but will is fundamentally not the 200 ft, 60 minute guy, and he probably never will be. you could call it cherry picking at its worst. but at his best, will is the guy who knows how to be exactly where he needs to be, exactly when he needs to be there. he sees the ice in a unique way, and what makes him and mack so dangerous together is that mack shares will's perspective. there's a reason both of their faces light up when they say, he sees the ice the same way i do.
much to ponder, ofc, in how that carries over off the ice. will, preternaturally patient when it comes to waiting for what he's certain he'll get. willing to lose, and lose, and lose, teeth gritted and hating every second of it, if it means he'll win in the end. but does that patience ever work against him, i wonder. does he ever wait more than his fair share; which is to say. does he ever wait so long for the perfect pass, the perfect shot, that he lets the right shot pass him by?
