Something else that hurts me about Shadow Milk Cookie is just..how badly he wants to live.

In his many thousands of years of life, Shadow Milk Cookie has been broken down constantly, in every possible way. His mind is constantly on the edge. He's perpetually lonely and angry and afraid and self loathing. His mind is a dark and disorientating place to be in, and it's abundantly clear to me that he's always running on fumes.

And yet..he will not lay down and die. No matter what. There is nothing Shadow Milk Cookie will not do to live another day. Even if the next day is miserable, and the next, and the next, for the rest of time, even if he has never tasted true joy and has no reason to believe he ever will. Even when he loses everything and could so easily just let himself crumble.

He doesn't.

We never- at least that I can recall- see him consider otherwise either. Every time he despairs, there's something else. If only I had someone to talk to, if only I could find the answers I'm looking for, if only I could escape, if only I could make the witches see me-

And he'll never admit he desires soft things like companionship or recognition or maybe even knowledge still, but it's not just spite, or survival for survivals sake that's driving him to drag himself onward despite every cost, even when it would be easier to let eternal sleep consume him. Shadow Milk Cookie has held on for this long for a reason.

Because a part of him he suffocates daily (because hope is dangerous) still hopes for more. Hopes to truly break the strings chaining him for once, hopes to prove- even just to himself- that he's worth something for once, hopes to feel like a real person for once, hopes to be seen by anybody, just once. Despite the layers upon layers of cynicism he hides his heavy heart behind, I truly believe this is a character with hope for something better.

I really hope he finds it.

the crk fandom is PROVING that it has no media literacy AGAIN.

SPOILERS FOR "I PROMISE"/ THE NEW CRK STORY UPDATE!!

we aren't reviving the beasts just because pure vanilla or the ancients WANT TO, we are doing it because it is necessary TO SAVE THE TIMELINE. there is no world where killing all the beasts (including shadow milk) forever will result in a win for anyone. silent salt was impulsive for trying during the war.

you can't just deny canon because you think it's stupid, you have to admit that no one is reviving the beasts just because they want to. like it or not, its canon now that the 5 souljams (or souljam halves) are necessary to hold up the universe, and we have to restore them and the timeline by bringing back the wielders. if the only thing you took away from pure vanilla and nether queen discussing how white lily doesn't need to be revived now to solve all the problems, and how to actually fix it all, was that your mad about the beasts coming back...wtf are we doing? THIS ISN'T FAVORITISM, ITS DEVSIS FOLLOWING THEIR OWN RULES! DUMB OR NOT!!!

honestly, I LOVED IT. like, 9/10 at LEAST. I understand some people are mad because crk is writing white lily cookie out for now, but I feel like this is the best way they could have done it. I love the mythology of tartrus and I am so glad we finally know how the afterlife works in crk, I was expecting to not really care for asphodel cookie, but I ended up loving them by the end of the story, and the way they ended pure vanilla and white lily's conversation was honestly beautiful. I love how everything is up to interpretation; I feel like there was no push for p*relily and it came off as simply platonic to me. and the scene with pure vanilla crying...omg he is so perfect and I'm so glad he was able to realize that the version of white lily he was in love with wasn't her true self.

my only critical point is that I really wish white lily cookie could end things with golden cheese and the other ancients on the same note that she did with nilla. they deserved to see her again just as much as he did, and I think even a "ps, tell the others that..." from willy would've worked. I just think golden cheese in particular really deserves some closure in this, as well as the others, but especially her. it breaks my heart that it might take EONS for willy to see the other ancients again.

I feel like its okay for someone to be uncomfortable with hate of a character they really love, as long as they are respectful. yes, even if the character is one who is evil, someone can still feel upset at seeing hate of them. does it make me mentally ill to say I feel physical discomfort at hate of characters I love? probably. I don't really care. I just think it's an okay reason to block someone (which should never be seen as rude, not everyone will like your content).

I honestly don't like that people try and say now whether it should be allowed to feel sad about something. no one can control that. it matters what you do ABOUT the sadness or discomfort. also, blocking someone for hating on your favs isn't saying that no one should ever hate on the character. it's just saying you don't want to see it.

people act like they could easily stay normal after going through shadow milk's corruption and all that he's been through as if the game itself doesn't say that its a VERY rare circumstance for him to end up okay and it only happened ONCE.

most of y'all would do the same things he did be so fr. the beasts didn't have a real world sequence of trauma, they had and have a lifelong experience of suffering, violence, yearning, abuse, and more. nothing like this happens in real life EXACTLY how it is in crk, their circumstances are incredibly past anything a person with humanity could come out of alive or sane.

I am not joking when I say most shadow milk haters scare me. they act like WE'RE the ones weirdly obsessed with him but then mention him no matter what the topic of conversation is, make up fake allegations against this fictional character, act like he causes real world problems with the game or even further in some cases, etc..

and why is it that the ones who always comment, "I bet shadow milk will be in this update," are the ones who are supposed to hate him? even if the update clearly doesn't involve him? and why are they always the ones to point out when a cookie has visual similarities to him?

Can we not censor the word PureLily...? It's not really a problematic ship, but ig this is just my opinion. Censor it if you like ^^

I censor it because I make a lot of hate posts about the ship (not the shippers, the ship itself) and if say it properly it can lead p*relily fans to see the hate posts and I don't want to make anyone's day worse. I remember stuff like that has happened to me, and I genuinely just want people to be happy💫

I have seen a lot of people arguing over shadowvanilla and p*relily again. I am so mad that we are comparing who was "meaner" based on who people saw harassing more from which side. THEY WERE BOTH MEAN. EQUALLY!!!! CAN WE STOP COMPARING EVERYTHING? IT JUST MAKES EVERYTHING WORSE!!!! NONE OF YOU ARE RIGHT OR INTELLIGENT BECAUSE NO ONE SEES HOW COMPARING STRUGGLES ALWAYS LEADS TO MORE STRUGGLES.

AND ALSO? IF YOU PERSONALLY SAW MORE HATE COMING FROM ONE SIDE THAT DOESNT MEAN THAT SIDE IS ALWAYS MORE HATEFUL? IT DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU VIEW AND WHAT YOU INTERACT WITH ON PLATFORMS!

I know I usually defend shadowvanilla because I personally think p*relily, the ship NOT THE SHIPPERS, is unhealthy for both and a redeemed version of shadowvanilla would be 10x more beneficial for both sides then any p*relily. but in this, both sides are wrong.

AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE DUMBASS STEREOTYPES WE'RE PULLING OUT OF OUR ASSES FOR NO REASON OTHER THEN TO HATE AAAAGHH NOT EVERY SHADOWVANILLA SHIPPER IS MISOGYNISTIC AND NOT EVERY P*RELILY SHIPPER IS HOMOPHOBIC AND STICKING TO THESE STEREOTYPES AND ANY STEREOTYPES ONLY CAUSES MISCOMMUNICATION. YOU PEOPLE THINK YOU'RE SO MORALLY SUPERIOR WHEN HALF OF THE THINGS WE ACCUSE EACH OTHER OF NEVER HAPPENED. 99% OF THE DRAMA IN THE CRK FANDOM IS FAKE SHIT.

also, if I have ever made a post about how p*relily is worse, I fully acknowledge that and honestly I'm disappointed in myself for falling victim to some of this bullshit. cuz I'm pretty sure I have. but I realize I might have been too harsh sometimes. I think a lot of my opinions have changed.

overall, I would like to see seltzer, salt cellar or frilled jellyfish win the whole competition, but the others would be good too.

I feel like there's a difference between hating a character and disliking a character.

to me, saying you dislike a character would simply be saying you don't like them. but hate is stronger; so if someone says they hate shadow milk I think I might automatically assume they take things too far.

I usually wouldn't be one to say this, but sometimes hate is too strong a word to use for how you actually feel. and this is shocking to even myself, but I have said multiple times that I HATE silent salt when really I don't feel that strongly about my dislike for him.

I respect everyone's opinions, but I feel like some of the things people dislike shadow milk cookie for are things I could prove are either not true or not his fault. yes, this is an open opportunity to debate.

I also think simply saying you don't like him is more respectful than making up some stupid reason that makes no sense. you don't always need a "good" enough reason to dislike a character.
