I said I’d doodle Swan (nightwatch swap dream)

He’s odd, probably my favourite. Before Dream was outcasted from the church he had an important role in training other creationists in magic

Essentially those monsters/humans were supposed to function somewhat as a military- it went through the church because in order to protect the Omegatimeline you needed to watch the outside voids which are very magical God exposed spaces.

Anyways that’s were dream has this uniform from- after he was outed as a heretic he was forcibly resigned from that job but he has a fondness to it.

Swaann he’s cool. He’s quite focused on his current new religion- he worships a different god to dream (the host) typically. He’s not an “evil alter” just a really freaky one I guess? He’s has the same fear of harming palette as every other part of Dream does, it’s just he copes with it by trying to teach him to be incredibly strong and magically proficient.

Infact it’s totally possible swan is one of the closest alters to palette. Both Owl and Swan mostly parent but you can tell in palette that pal has adopted a lot of Swans personality and demeanour.

They even have their hats matching if you look close- palette designed his hat after Swans because he really looks up to his father in those one on one training sessions…

He’s also more similar to Atrophy in personality than any other Alter- potentially because those two have the same reactions to trauma.

Fresh is also canonically scared of Swan- not that he knows it’s DID it’s just he thinks Dream goes freak mode occasionally and Swans infamous crime against a God is just intimidating to Fresh. So he keeps his distance

But yeah he rarely wears his orange heavy jacket unless he wants to show off his medals. Sometimes he just pins his medals to his skin so he can avoid being dragged down by the jacket. He likes being shirtless because it’s easy access for rituals (and he thinks it makes him look good)

Blah blah blah…. There you go- I hope the maybe 1 swan fan enjoys this

Oh and wait he can change his eye color because he uses a creationist spell to do it- it’s just soul reflection where you summon the essence of your soul into your own eyes. It’s only a spell used in special ceremonies but he thinks it makes him look cool. For the hightened creationist like Ink the spell is actually compulsive which is why his eyes are like that.. but swan just chooses to do that

I honestly can see it specifically working with Swan (swap dream alter) and Psych

I’ve been talking about swan lately but he has that loud personality that Psychs attracted too- AND swan is already a big big fan of psych. That’s too much spoilers but he’d 100% get psychs name tattooed onto him. (I mean they basically have that already)

Psychs into Freaks too much. Dating freak alters only tsk tsk you can’t do that psych

After this realization I’ve come to the conclusion Peam must be stopped at all costs- it’s too fucking stupid

I always feel bad because I post so much about nightwatch slop that it’s a sea to navigate through and i really don’t have the time to organize a good master post or archive.

What I honestly recommend is waiting for the story to come out because I’m close to releasing the first two chapters.

Though bare in mind not all posts are cannon because some are just really old and outdated- the comic really is the bastion of cannonicity. But the best part about looking through the tags is you get to see wonderful fanart imo..

I know we see a good bit of content between Delta, Color and Killer, but what about Epic, Color and Killer? Headcanons or ideas for them?

Well for one thing it’s thanks to Epic that Color discovered his flames could be made into a flamethrower.

Killer always refuses Epic’s chocolate chip cookies and Color always says it’s just “a Killer thing.” Killer doesn’t like that Epic seems to automatically understand what that means. He is not strange enough to require having “a thing,” right?

Killer has definitely tried to fight Epic. Possibly even kill him. Simply because he wants to know what the fuck is up with Epic’s eye.

I like to think that when he’s in Stage 2, Killer likes to find ways to unsettle Epic or attempt to keep him on his toes. Killer probably struggles to read Epic a lot more than most, and unfortunately for Epic, that has made him Killer’s latest soul in a jar.

Figuratively. Color wouldn’t like it if he made a lab rat of his “friend”…and Killer supposes he wouldn’t like upsetting Color. Maybe.

Doesn’t mean he can’t stab him, doesn’t it. It’s not killer’s fault if epic happens to lose a finger or two. (Which never happens. Because Epic seems to have insane reflexes.)

But either he is used to people wanting to dismember him for science (and isn’t that an interesting thought..) or Color warned Epic about Killer. Probably that orange one too.

Epic acts like they are good friends and not like Killer is dissecting him with his eyes and memorizing things about him and also trying to dismember him. And also apparently doesn’t like it when Epic takes his spot near Color on the couch.

Ultimately, Killer’s territorial bullshit and sadistic musings die down a little with more exposure to Epic and his personality, although Epic suspects the killer part of him still wants to strap epic to a table and start pulling him apart.

..Color says thats just how he is and not to worry about it, but Epic has doubts. He can see the thousand ways Killer is planning to brutally murder him, and the worst part of all, is that it’s not even because he hates him or is even jealous of him.

It’s just because he’s curious.

So I like to think this a bit of a thing for them, becomes super casual for killer to attempt to slit Epic’s throat and for Epic to expertly dodge out of the way. It’s like a cat-and-mouse game, and killer would lose respect for him if killer manages snag or kill him.

I like to think that Epic is a lovely challenge for ST2. Satisfying his more violent urges and keeping him entertained and engaged so at least he isn’t turning that bloodthirst on to someone else.
