A bold color palate with touches of matte black seems only appropriate for the Rei Kawakubo-themed spring 2017 Met Gala. I do think they could have gone a little more modern, though I imagine it is hard to be super avant-garde with decor for such a large formal event.
Came across Wihro Kim’s layered interiors and indoor/outdoor compositions thanks to Instagram’s Explore feed. I appreciate many different styles of 2D art, but there is something special about being able to keep seeing things in artwork. All the patterns!
Had a sneak peek at the new Le Labo offices in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This is me in yellow trying to contain my excitement over the beautiful light in this space as I sat on a Stephen Kenn sofa! Open office done right and the industrial chic thing doesn’t feel tired--it feels comfortable and fresh.

Too much? ;) I recently bought a book on 80s interior design just to see what unexpected inspiration I might find. Follow link for Apartment Therapy’s most gauche 80s finds.
