Video Project- One Minute Video This is a video I created for video class. Donn is searching far and wide to find someone who thinks he kawaii, which means cute in Japanese. Will he ever find someone? Here is a link to the video:
Young Link (Soprano), Wind Waker Link (Alto), Adult Link (Tenor), and Twilight Princess Link (Bass) wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year with their, er, rousing rendition of a Christmas classic.
let me point out that Christmas has been over for nearly four months and I’m still getting the occasional notification that someone has reblogged this. It’s also probably the single most popular post on Link Making Faces.
I do so much stuff in this fandom and the thing that gets the most exposure is Links screaming to the tune of “Carol of the Bells”
this is it
this is my legacy
Now that it’s the first day of December…
…I can finally reblog this.
you know what after being reblogged constantly for the past two Decembers I’m not even surprised this is back again
Recently I’ve been working on a project which involves recreating a sports team logo. I went with the Florida Panthers logo, because the colours are neat, and I like cats!
Since I haven’t used Illustrator in the past, it took a little bit of getting used to. However, I have used vector based programs in the past, such as Flash and Paint Tool SAI. This was definitely useful knowledge to carry over into Illustrator.
Something that took a bit to understand was the Pathfinder tool, but once I got the hang of it, I began to truly appreciate it. It is super useful when it comes to simple things like making a curve span across more than one shape.
One thing I found interesting about this logo was that some shapes were very similar to each other, but different enough to stand on their own. This made the recreation process a bit easier, as I could just copy and paste the shape, and then of course change it slightly to make the different variations.
Overall, I think the sports team logo was a good project to introduce someone to Illustrator, and help them learn it. I feel much more confident using it now that I generally know what I’m doing. I can now use Illustrator for many other things, including art!
Here is the final result:

Dat transition.
Finished! Is it complete! This was definitely a great challenge. I learned quite a bit as I went along, applying skills I already knew, and skills I recently learned. It was both fun and frustrating at the same time! Do you want these headphones yet?
Website Mockup Continued!
As I get close to finishing my website mockup, I’m doing final touchups and checkups. Before I get ahead of myself, I’ll share some more things I did along the way.
I had fun trying to get the items within a certain “page” to match each other’s hue. I think it’s a nice way of tying together the colourful theme of the headphones. I set green for the hue of the photos, as well as the icons. Speaking…

Website Mockup
For my website mock up, I decided to redesign Axent Wear’s website. I really do like the original design, but of course, I’ll be changing it up. However, I am still going to stick with a similar colour scheme, as it really does fit the product.
The first challenge I ran into while working on the site was the logo. I couldn’t find a high resolution photo of the logo, so I had to recreate it in…
