nepal’s youth are being killed for demanding an end to corruption.
thousands of young people—students, many still in their school uniforms—took to the streets in peaceful protest. they demanded an end to corruption and accountability from those in power. they marched in their school uniforms, unarmed, carrying nothing but their voices and placards.
police answered with brutality. tear gas. rubber bullets. live rounds fired into unarmed crowds. at least 19 are dead. students who only stood for what is right are now gone.
the government is trying to downplay this uprising as nothing more than “anger over a social media ban.” sure, 26 platforms were blocked, but the truth is clear, this movement runs deeper. it is about corruption, repression, and abuse of power.
and now, reports say the government is preparing for an even harsher response—internet blackouts, silencing of media, and more force against demonstrators. they want to cut the world’s eyes away from what’s happening.
this is not protest control. this is inhuman. this is a massacre of voices that only wanted justice. my heart aches seeing nepali youth, my fellow students, shot and killed for daring to demand for what’s right.
do not look away. share this. speak of this. stand with nepal.
