For today’s bonus round of enrichment ft. birds and toys originally meant for cats/dogs, here’s a short clip of my male and female king quail (sometimes referred to as button quail), Kiwi and Dodo, picking some meal worms out of their jingle ball. This allows them to put in a bit of extra work into getting treats, and the jingling sound caused when they nudge it hard enough is a novel stimulus for them. It doesn’t matter what the species is, or their size - enrichment is important and doable for all creatures! (Please excuse their mid-moult scruffiness!)

So recently I came across a fellow artist who was struggling to find a free art program, and considering dropping the large amount of money for a Photoshop license. I know not everyone can afford such an expensive program, so I’ve compiled a list of programs with no cost to download and use.
