achilles
in this one, his heart doesn’t stop. or his death
unavenged. in here we are the gods who cradle him
in our limbs, too flesh a thing who bears pain like a calling,
like it is what he is built and smelt to be. and it is. and how bruising
our song was. he was a stone yet we awoke him. somehow
his heart was there and we just let it be. we both thought
he was unmovable. then he let the pain go through his tendons.
ripping,
Thinking about that anon who asked me about Cupitan. tbh I just liked seeing Cupitan getting rawed and wasn't into CupiTris. But I'm so into CupiTris now LMFAO toxic yuri wins xoxo
ery i am here to ask if the kusanagi scene in k gakuen still makes you scream that's all
VERY TOUGH QUESTION. If we ignore that it's Sakurai, YES. There was NO reason for him to be naked.
parallels of Gilgamesh as a savior
You know, Gil actually has a huge amount of parallels with Saber, Castoria, and Morgan, it's just that we only ever see him once his journey is complete so it doesn't feel as tragic. Not exactly the same of course, and Gil ends up better in the end than the others, however the origins are surprisingly similar, or at the very least mirror each other.
Destined saviors born with a purpose too great for any one person, so much pressure the majority of people couldn't handle it.
Like Castoria, Gil had no choice in becoming the wedge of heaven, his destiny was instilled upon him by the gods before he was born, and he was given the power of clairvoyant sight which showed him endless timelines in possibilities, many of them filled with destruction. Endless information, enough that according to Sheba's interlude, he had to learn how to suppress it. He sees the deaths of his loved ones before they come, as shown by how he nearly panicked when Siduri was about to go to her death in Babylonia.
However, like Morgan, Gilgamesh rejected his destiny, while simultaneously accepting it. The gods wanted him to crush humans under his heel, to prevent them from creating and discovering so humans would remain reliant on the gods forever. But Gil grew to love humans so much he decided to take their side instead, preventing the gods from holding onto their already slipping control. He decided he would become a guardian of humanity, the sole decider and protector of its fate. To do this, he could not grow close to humans, he had to cut himself off emotionally in order to be impartial. As mentioned in CCC, the only reason he was able to grow close to Enkidu and love them is because they were neither human nor god. At last, Gilgamesh had an equal he was able to relax around, someone who understood what it was like to be all alone in the world, the only creature of his kind. When Enkidu died, even after Gilgamesh went on his journey and became wise, his decision to never become close to anyone else remains firm. He is eternally isolated, unable to let himself let his guard down around anyone. Even when he grows attached to a human, like Hakuno, he cannot see them as an equal and be vulnerable around them, because he will always be the wedge of heaven.
Saber, meanwhile, willingly chose to be a savior. She had a choice, took it upon herself to give up companionship in order to take up the sword. She gained everything, then lost it and regretted it, cared for but still distant and not understood by anyone. It was only in her afterlife (or rather in an eternity of a split second right before her death), that she was able to find peace and companionship.
Gilgamesh had no choice in becoming the wedge of heaven, and was born completely alone and isolated. He gained love and companionship in his life, but lost that love. His country did not fall to ruin, and he remained proud. But he returned to being alone, and continued to be alone for all of time, even in his afterlife.

Even a reblog would be appreciated. Thanks!
Have you ever wanted to beat someone to death with a claw hammer?
No...?
it's always funny when someone comments on eurodance like "why don't they make music like this anymore" because they DO and it's one of the most creatively stagnant genres on earth (spoken with love in my heart for it)
all you need to make eurodance is one female vocalist (mediocre-to-incredible), one male vocalist who Cannot sing but can say shit like "I'm a sex king man with a party plan / international nation hand in hand" in a deep voice, and an apartment somewhere in italy
how to write convincing dialogue
did you know that show, not tell applies to dialogue, too? while dialogue can be used to further your narrative, it can also be used to showcase your characters. here's how:
-what is your character hiding? most people don't say things at face value. they hide what they mean within their words and tone, but in writing, you can't verbally hear the character's tone. ways to convey non-verbal tone include: contradictions between words and actions, context behind the words (ie. the scenario, character's actions and feelings), syntax (ie. fragments, repetition, awkward phrasing). also consider who the character is hiding information from: is it the reader? the characters? both?
-favorite words or phrases. does your character use a certain phrase or word a lot? do they often put their prepositions at the beginning or the end of the sentence? these are questions to ask when you're arranging the syntax of the dialogue. everyone has a specific way of talking. make sure you give each character a distinguishable voice.
-personality. this is how you can create a distinguishable voice. is your character confident? are they shy or hesitant? do they repeat the phases of others because they have nothing to add to the conversation? are they confrontational or do they beat around the bush? ask questions like these. if your character is confident, they may make bold statements and appear sure of themselves unlike shy characters who use words such as "maybe" or "should" or "think." to boil it down, think active wordage versus passive.
-observe others. don't look solely at television or other books. sit at your local coffee shop and listen in on conversations, then try and break it down. are they hiding anything? do they frequently use any words or phrases? how would you describe their personality? the better you get at breaking down conversations, the better you can create convincing ones, whether shallow, deep, or as a narrative device, because even if you use your dialogue to move your narrative along, it should still be compulsively convincing.
one way to tell if you've ticked all these boxes is if you can tell who is speaking without any tags.
happy writing! if you have any questions about how to implement any of these tips, our ask box is always open.
I wish there was more joseimuke Shirou/Sakura smut out in the world. Sakura got really lucky with Shirou and she, frankly, deserves it.
ANON YOU'RE SPEAKING MY LANGUAGE!!!!!! same, i really want more of this. i wish i had more time to write it...
I never had people draw fanart for one of my fics or write something based on it, but I just know that that is such a high honor and show of love. I once had someone ask me if they could translate my fic in Chinese and I was like, wow, they love it enough to want to put time and effort into it to show it to more people.
To all writers, you can use this post to let people know that you would be delighted to receive fanart and would love if they get creative with what you created.
I'm not into Cupitan/Tristette either.
🤝!!
I feel like one thing I should mention is that while I think Cupitan is gay, I don't think she should be with Tristette. That relationship is doomed.
oh for sure bwahahaha i don't think it'll work at all
I'm sorry for that "Cupitan is probably a lesbian post".
it's cool! i don't have strong feelings about it, but i know there are people who do. for me, cupitan can be anything! i enjoy her in every way. if cupitan is a lesbian to you, then that's cool too!
I specifically need Cupitan to get wrecked by a hot girl and not a hot... anyone else because she reads as gay to me. She's incredibly interested in one woman to the point where it borders on romantic and she has rainbow colored hair, I can't really read her as straight and the one dude she shows any interest in (Gran) is a gender neutral cipher who she's using as a substitute for Tristette.
cool!
