Two magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 earthquakes hit Venezuela on 24 July just after 6 pm. The death toll has been raised to 2.295 deaths and there are at least 11.267 injured. There are still people trapped under the rubble and the rescue teams sent by other countries are still getting people out in La Guaira. How can you help?

Translation/Transcript part 2

Horse: NEighhhhhhhh

Domen: Basically, a friend invited me if I ever wanted to ride horses at his place and so I went and he just placed me in the saddle and we just went on the terrain. From that he saw that I like horses, that I enjoy it, he brought me here to Lipica and they put me in dressage training here and for me, it’s so natural and magical. It’s an additional type of freedom similar to what we’re all looking for when flying.

(More horse riding and neighing)

Domen: Some feelings, some feedback, perceptions that the horse gives you and teaches you also end up useful on the hill.

Domen: I, after all the noise and everything, I love to just go sit somewhere in the nature, go in the hills somewhere, my favourite thing is just a really really nice view and a calm place without much noise. So yeah, the combo of the view and peace is the thing that recharges me. This nature, here, with the sunset, just to go, I used to come here and just go for walks and even that it’s just wow, so calming. And people often forget that we have Lipica here, because I used to stop often here coming back from the sea and just calmed down, walked and ate some good food – stuff that really recharges me.

Journo 3: Growing up at the end of the village, connected Domen and the whole family Prevc strongly with the nature. This connection is becoming stronger and stronger.

Domen: Basically when I think back, those are some of my nicest memories from my childhood. Those gave me certain values, skills, habits, you learn to work and gain motoric skills. It’s something very nice.

Journo 1: Domen Prevc, with the ‘patronship’(?), is helping to keep Slovenian identity and tradition alive. At the stud farm Lipica, they thanked him in a really nice way, after his win in Oberstdorf, a really imaginative post circled the internet. They posted that every champion has their fans, but only Domen has the most elegant ones. Because his win in Oberstdorf was watched by more than 400 Lipizzaner horses. You can see the post on the screen – and in the end they sent him a lot of winning energy for the rest of the Tour. Domen saw the post, let’s see what he had to say:

Domen: I mean, I was really touched, for them to do something like that was – at first a friend said that he watched it and thought it was AI because it’s so incredible, but it was really the riders, really Lipica, really displaying the jump. Hats off to them for the effort. And yeah it gives you a nice feeling of satisfaction to be supported by a group of people that are close to you and taught you something from their field.

Jani: Yeah, without a doubt something special, that we don’t normally get to see. And it left a very positive stamp.

Journo 1: Domen Prevc has many loves/hobbies by the side, but he can keep his focus on his jumps.

Lovro: Yes, interesting that his head doesn’t wander/run wild. He just knew in these years to really focus on jumping and now we see the results that that is his priority. Plus even with all the other things on his mind, he ignores them when it’s time for training and comes there 100% focused.
