Hi, I’m Nehs. I’ve recently gone on a bit of a follow spree bc I can and still have less than 90 blogs that I’m following so hey whatever. Most of it was fixing not-following people, though I feel like I’m still missing someone, so I’ll get there eventually. My memory is weird like that.
Uhh... this is my main, my fic-writing blog is @nehswritesstuffs, I have over 550 650 700 posts waiting in my queue, and have been on tumblr for fucking ever. And in fandoms for fucking ever. Currently going insane over One Piece blorbos and have been for two decades. I also love DW/Whouffaldi, Slayers, sports, varying things with Peter Capaldi, cars, and would like to find someone to scream at about Witch Watch. No, seriously, tumblr would love the living daylights out of Witch Watch.
My face is basically the same as Princess Pixels ^_^ so I had to take a photo with her sat next to it.
SUPER EXCITED I’m actually gonna film so much content promoting this, since I am an affiliate of Menminmade the small business who created the product! However, more importantly - the reason I am an affiliate is because I love love LOVE this product and support it and the artist’s dreams behind it, I really want it to get more visibility because it’s like a dream bag that smol!Star would adore. She does adore it, my 5 yr old self and 25 yr old self and jumping up and down holding hands right now 🥰
I know tumblr is like hardly an ideal promotional website but I still use it way more than TikTok so imma drop the link and discount code here if anyone is interested ( @crystal-rebellion I really feel like you’d love this in particular as a fellow crafter ;))
Whimsical AAPI-inspired home goods and apparel, made with love from the San Francisco Bay Area.
^ this is my affiliate link, if you order through here I get 10% commission which is cool but more importantly you get a 10% discount and again, you’re supporting a small, Asian woman owned business (we love to see it 👏)
And the discount code: STAR111
Also she doesn’t just have purple she has a range of colours available and they’re all gorgeous!
Please check out her social media also she posts awesome videos and if you’re in California she regularly schedules fun crafting events which she posts about too!
When I tell you I gasped when I saw this one. Zoro and Sanji as the Wings of the Pirate King is super important to me, and I looooved Gaban and Rayleigh too on top of that. The bright fun colors of this one and Sanji's outfit just add to how much of a standout it is.
I also adore how Luffy is actually carrying his crew with him and is happy to do it just like he's happy to carry their weight when he needs to in the story.
There's so much symbolically fun about it, but also so much just literally great about it when it comes to the artistry and colors. Easily my favorite.
2. Fruit Superheroes
AH I love this one. I think they all look so dorky and adorable in their fruit get up. Robin and Nami especially to me look awesome in their little portraits. I'm also obsessed with Chopper and Brook in this one.
Best of all on the TV we have Nami's superhero kicking ass and Sanji cheering her on in the background!!
Ugh!!! It's so cute. This one I think about often.
3. First Mates
Yes I've read the SBS, no need to comment. Anyway, I love the highlighting of the first mates/chief of staff characters in this one. I think they all play a VITAL role for their captains and often times are men of few words like Killer, Beckman, Zoro himself, etc that they can get outshined by other characters.
I love that Oda gave them a color spread that is just for them and celebrates them whether they are evil or not haha Let them all have their moment in the sun.
4. Straw Hats With Their Kid Versions
Oh this one makes me soooo happy. One I am always happy to see them as kids again, I think the designs are just so distinct and adorable. Secondly though I think there's so much character work done in this.
For example, I love that Luffy is being a menace to his own child self and vice versa. It's so in character and a fun detail to add in.
Then there are more subtle parts, specifically the Zoro and Usopp section. I think it's so sweet that little Zoro is suspicious of little Usopp and eyeing him with so much distrust while older Zoro is smiling and happy to have older Usopp literally leaning on him. That's literally one of the sweetest things I've ever seen.
I love that little Nami gets to be innocent and fun with a little Sanji right next to her staring at her, blushing, and admiring her like joy for life. Which like YES.
Then I think it's sad but also such a good detail to have little Robin seemingly isolating herself and not participating in the fun and seeming more withdrawn than the others because of course she would be.
There's just so much to love about this one.
5. Straw Hat Clock
This is another one that is just full of little details like Robin having a bunch of arms sprouted to help Usopp who is having to use his feet to keep hold of everything.
Chopper looks so adorable in this one using the numbers as glasses haha
And of course I love the detail that Sanji is wearing a shirt with Nami on it at 3oclock just like where she is on the clock and in order of joining the crew when his name literally means three.
Love love love.
I think the colors and patterns in this one are so chaotic but in a way that isn't overwhelming and instead just feels very Straw Hat. Like Robin is such a good example of how this makes me feel because she's surrounded by all the bright, loud, chaos, but looks so happy and peace to be there. Me too girl.
Honorable Mention: The Military Industrial Complex
When you meet Edward Elric he gives off the impression that he's the short-tempered hot-headed "violence is the answer to all life's questions" kind of protagonist, and it's in fact incredible character craft that he's actually the character who ends the series with a negative-3 kill count.
God's worst soldier Edward Elric. Showed up as the youngest member of the Amestrian army, took millions of dollars from them, never followed a single order, helped dismantle their fascist regime, left with a lower kill count than he arrived with, then fucked off to go be a house-husband. Character of all time.
You know, when you said "negative-3 kill count," I, who haven't seen the anime, thought, "He resurrected 3 people?????" But I'm seeing here on the wiki that apparently resurrection in this anime is a terrible idea.
so metropolitan museum of art has a register of books they’ve published that are out of print and that you can download for free! they’re mostly books on art, archeology, architecture, fashion and history and i just think that’s super useful and interesting so i wanted to share! you can find all of the books available here!

In a 1996 by-election, one of the candidates for Australia's parliament changed his name to Steve Grim-Reaper so he wouldn't get mixed up with other candidates
Update: Thanks to some brilliant suggestions from you all, we have an even better contender - A man who ran in the 1998 federal election named 'Prime Minister John Piss the Family Court and Legal Aid' who received a whopping 183 votes for the party 'Abolish Child Support'. Sounds like a lovely guy.
Unfortunately for Mr Prime Minister Piss, this name change came back to haunt him after he was denied a passport a few years later due to the name. This led to this quite incredible entry into Australia's case law that is still frequently cited today:
Unfortunately for Pisso, the court ruled that the government was right to deny him a passport, on the grounds that the phrase "Prime Minister" might be considered by some to be offensive.
Australia went on to change the laws around name changes as a result of Mr PM JP, making him the first and last Prime Minister Piss we'll likely ever see on the ballot in our lifetimes, and democracy is all the poorer for it.
So we looked it up and yes, it was indeed the 'Dane' recording studio owner who attempted to stage a fascist uprising in Melbourne (of all places) in the 90s.
This was the last update we could find on him in the news, sounds like he's doing well for himself:
