Skyler: smiled, wishing they could talk more in depth about the alignments of their charts, something he found ever fascinating; however, he didn't have his entirely memorized so he allowed that idea to fizzle. "You too, Gemini," he told her with a smile, accepting his change. "Uh, well, I guess I'd be a regular," he told her, leaning against the counter and looking around a bit. "That depends on how often it takes to count as one," he half-joked. Now with his book and his money, he knew the conversation should have been over but he wasn't ready for it to be. "I'm probably in here less than you," he joked. "But I just moved a few blocks away."
Gemini: leaned against the counter herself, having finished his transaction. She shrugged. "I mean, I've only been here a month; I just started at USC and needed some extra pocket change. I do tend to come in even on my days off and spend said pocket change though," she told him, chuckling. "Oh, cool, walking distance. Where did you move from?"

Skyler: flipped his lip ring with his tongue as he watched her ring the book, a nervous tick he'd grown to do more and more. He listened to her story, impressed with the thought that her parents put into planning a child. "Well I guess they made the best of the situation," he chuckled. He nodded at her totaling him, pulling out his wallet and handing her two twenties. "Nice guess," he smiled. "I'm a Cancer, on the cusp of being a Leo. But my parents named me Skyler and my twin sister Celeste, so maybe *they* wanted an air child. Though their math was way off if that's the case," he joked.
Gemini: chuckled and shrugged. "Yeah, I don't know, I like my name and my chart so I'm happy with how things turned out." She took the bills from him and opened the cash register. She listened as she counted out and handed him his change and chuckled at his joke. "Well, it's nice to meet you, Skyler. I think I've seen you come in a few times since I've started here, are you a regular?"

Skyler: nodded. He listened carefully and took in her words in order to find a place where he could carry the conversation to something a bit more substantial. As he watched her talk, he couldn't help but to smile a bit as he found something about her rather magnetic. "I'm somewhere right in between, so in that case I'm sold. I'll take it," he told her, sliding it over. "You're good with the sales pitch, are you a Gemini sun?" He shot in the dark before guessing again, "Or a Capricorn?"
Gemini: chuckled. "Alright, awesome!" She reached and slid the book toward herself to start ringing it up. "You know, my parents wanted a Gemini. They even tried to line it up so that I would be born in Gemini season but I was eager to get out into the world so they got a Taurus instead and decided to name me Gemini. So you were close with the earth sign," she told him, smiling. "Your total is $21.98. What about you?" she asked, her eyes moving from the computer screen to meet his. "You seem like an air sign. Or maybe water."

Skyler: had been going to the metaphysical shop he'd recently moved walking distance to at a minimum of once a week. He went with the need to buy new stones, woods to burn, books he'd been dying to read, but partially because of a shop girl who'd been there a few times. Their conversations were typically void of depth due to his shyness, but he wanted her to know that he could offer more substance. Though he wasn't sure why. When he arrived, Skyler was glad to see the girl was working and browsed the store for a bit so more people would clear out. Finally, he took his chance to check out at the counter. Bringing up a book (The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need by Joanna Woolfolk), he placed it on the counter. "What do you think of this book? Have you read it? And is it /really/ that comprehensive?" He asked with a small smile.
Gemini: was about a month into her new job and, if she was being honest, she loved it. Her coworkers were laid back and the atmosphere was calming. Being raised by the Gallagher's meant incense, singing bowls, and chakra aligning so, in a way, the shop felt like home. She was sitting at the front counter, mindlessly shuffling her tarot cards when a guy came up with an astrology book. She had seen him in the shop before but their conversations had been surface level at best. "Oh, absolutely, I love this book," she responded, always delighted to talk about astrology. "It goes in depth into every sign, planet, house, and placement. Really good for anyone into astrology whether you're new to it or already familiar with it."

Benji: smiled kind of sadly at Gemini's agreement with his statement. There was a time in his life where she was a sizable part of his plan, and life had messed that up too. He couldn't help his little smile at her laugh. "No, it's fine. Drink your cheesy fruity drink, it's cute," he told her in a fake serious voice before breaking and smiling again. He shook his head. "You don't have to do anything you don't want to," he pointed out, though it almost directly contradicted what he had said earlier about having not wanted this life for himself. Maybe he had wanted it, though, and he just hadn't been willing to admit it sooner. He had been about to say something else when she spoke over the single syllable he had uttered. He stopped again, smiling amusedly. "Okay, spill."
Gemini: smiled as the bartender put their drinks in front of them. "You know what? I think I will, thank you very much," she said before taking a sip of her cocktail and giving an exaggerated "ahh" after taking her lips from the straw. "It's delicious, too," she told him, thankful that they could still find some comfort with each other in this awkward situation. She shrugged. "I don't know, I think when it comes to this sort of thing you can sort of be forced into it, even when you don't want to," she said. "Maybe it's a long time coming, though. And it really wouldn't hurt my career." Gemini looked around at the crowds just a few feet from the bar, furrowed her eyebrows, and shook her head. "Not here," she muttered. She had quickly become consumed in her racing thoughts but she knew she couldn't risk anyone overhearing them. "Outside, maybe?" she didn't really ask as she grabbed her drink, took a sip of it, and headed towards the nearest door outside, trusting Benji would follow.

Benji: managed an awkward smile, the attempts at banter with Gemini feeling particularly odd in a way he couldn't quite place. "I've come to notice life has a funny way of messing up plans," he pointed out. This was so strange. She used to be the person he felt most comfortable around, but there was something weird here, and he couldn't quite tell if it was just this particular conversation or if he just didn't know how to be around her anymore. The boy chuckled under his breath at the girl's drink order, shaking his head softly before ordering himself a glass of whiskey. He pushed his hair out of his face before turning his attention back to her. "Thank you," he replied, earnestly, though it still felt strange to be so formal. "I'm kind of still in awe of it all, myself, if I'm honest," he confessed. He often felt the need to pinch himself when he thought about the life he'd built for himself here. "I'm here for you too, you know," he told her, though he wasn't sure why he felt the need to.
Gemini: nodded. "Ain't that the truth." This was awful. She hated not being able to talk to Benji like she used to, especially when she had something so big to tell him. She saw him laughing after she ordered her drink and reflexively laughed with him. "Stop," she joked, slightly rolling her eyes when he ordered a whiskey. "Yeah, I don't know how anyone could get used to it. Though I guess I'll probably have to soon," she sighed. Smiling, she nodded her head at him. "I know," she told him, looking at him gratefully for a second before blurting out "I need to tell you something."

Tristan shook his head. “Ah you would think,” He hummed. “But I in fact only have until I’m 25 to figure it out… so basically, I’m screwed,” He told with a shrug. “And no I’m 19.” He quickly pushed away all anxiety bubbling up from the thought. “I do.”
Gemini furrowed her eyebrows and cocked her head to the side. “Why do you only have until you’re 25?” she asked, swirling her drink in her hand. She took a sip and shrugged. “That’s still six years. A lot can happen in six years.” She smiled at him. “Well, good, I’ll have a familiar face there when I start,” she responded, jokingly adding, “and I definitely don’t want to be sitting alone at the lunch tables.”
