Last weekend, Jon and I took a break from packing (yes, we’re moving) and went to the movies. We never do this, because movies tickets are expensive and there’s not that many movies in theaters that are worth the $15 … Continue Reading →
Through the wonderful world of Social Media, I have been able to connect with so many other grieving moms. There is something so incredibly powerful about connecting with another woman on the other side of the world, who is going … Continue Reading →
On our flight back from Spain in April of last year, Jon watched the movie Arrival. I highly recommend it, as it is a fantastic sci-fi movie! If you recall from Noah’s story, right after our big trip in April, … Continue Reading →
Before having Noah I knew where I stood on the “pro-life, pro-choice” issue. Based on my beliefs, and “Horton Hears a who”, I knew that a life was a life, no matter the size. However, I couldn’t fully debate the … Continue Reading →
“May the day of my birth perish, and the night that said, ‘A boy is conceived!’ That day—may it turn to darkness; may God above not care about it; may no light shine on it.” Job 3:3-4 I did not … Continue Reading →
You might recall that on my very first post I mentioned I was diagnosed with fibroids years before I was pregnant. Let me tell you a little bit more about these fibroids. I’m not going to start explaining what a … Continue Reading →
Shortly after Noah died and I was faced with “real life” (like, what even is that?) – I realized I was a little afraid of leaving the house. The day before we left to our anniversary getaway in Clearwater, I … Continue Reading →
Exactly a year ago, we rang in the new year (2017) at the same place we are ringing in 2018: The beautiful cold mountains of North Carolina. A year ago, we welcomed 2017 with champagne and many resolutions: we were … Continue Reading →
I have a huge confession to make: I have never been the biggest fan of the Holidays. Maybe it’s the social obligation of one single day of the year, maybe it’s my not-so-great childhood memories. The truth is, after October, … Continue Reading →
The most wonderful time of the year... unless you are grieving and cry every day... The Holidays could be especially hard for grieving parents. I am sharing my take on our first Christmas with and without Noah, our first born, who was supposed to be born exactly one month from today... *Link in Bio* . . . . #Christmas #grief #grievingparents #death #Jesus #miscarriageblog #pregancyloss #angelbaby #miscarriagesucks #angelbaby #babyloss #hope
We are so blessed to have the opportunity of visiting the mountains a couple times a year. The mountains of North Carolina are very special to us. Jon grew up vacationing there, and I have learned to love them as … Continue Reading →
*New Post* Sharing about our latest trip to the mountains and the transformational power of fire.
Believe me, #similac I know what motherly strength is, like the strength it takes to endure you sending me formula samples. Guess what? My baby doesnt need formula. In fact, he doesn’t need anything because he’s dead... #miscarriage #pregancyloss #formula #babyloss #angelbaby #latemiscarriage #death #grief #pain
On the morning of August 1st, one week after Noah’s death and one day before our third anniversary, Jon and I did the Daily Bread Devotional, a daily devotional we have been doing since we got married. I wish I … Continue Reading →
*New Post* How the Nozomi Project brought a reminder of hope in the midst of grief and pain! Read all about it (and maybe visit their website to do some Christmas Shopping) in my latest post!
Faith is trusting God in the midst of hopelessness... . . . . #jesus #miscarriage #babyloss #latemiscarriage #angelbaby #death #mark5 #first5
I got the “Facebook Memory” from three years ago, Thanksgiving 2014. The year we got married, bought a house, went on vacation, welcomed our first two nephews, and I graduated with my Masters. It was “the most amazing year of our lives” it was easy to post it on social media, it was easy to be thankful. This year was a little different. We are blessed beyond measure, but we are experiencing the deepest sorrow of our lives. Our baby died four months ago. It is safe to say, this year has been a tough one... I am sad this Holiday season. I will always be sad there is a baby missing. But God is good. He is good because He is, not because He gives us things. His plan is perfect and good, and we get to worship Him. So whether it was a happy year full of blessings, or a sad one full of sorrow, God is still good... He gives us everything that we need...and even if He does not give us what we *think* we need, He is still good... #miscarriage #sad #thanksgiving #thankful #andifnotheisstillgood #God #blessed #latemiscarriage #pregnancyloss #hope
Every year we get one day to stop and give Thanks. Family, friends, health, a job, are among the things most people are so, so thankful for. Those are things I am thankful for as well, but I have to admit, it is easy to focus on the 31 week belly that is not there... I am missing my baby, a lot. But I am thankful for him. Thankful for my Noah Eliot. For meeting, loving him and being his mommy. I am thankful I will see him again. So I am most Thankful for salvation, for Jesus and for the Hope we have in Him... Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving! #thanksgiving2017 #miscarriage #grievingmother #pregnacyloss #lossmama #holidays #jesus #hope
