#MeToo and its ancilliary operations may, indeed, be a project of societal dis-erotization of a nation that is mostly committed to the pornographic.

In the US, Macron’s wife would be in the slammer for her relationship while she was a teacher and he her teenage student. Stories of such relationships pop up regularly here.

Catherine Deneuve and the right to flirt (Just say no to McPolitics)
Catherine Deneuve defense of flirting is an expression of the necesity of resisting the invasion of American moral fast food. Americans would like to have you think that their categories for the moralization politics transcend (as Oprah, put it,) culture, race, nation, etc.... The parrochialism of the American mind ‘s eye is suspended in a form of perpetual tourism. It often only sees the world through its native categories, native language, native desires, native fears and native aspirations. And most certainly, something so fundamental as sexual disposition can only be understood as the universality of American sexual morality and dynamics. All else, remains beyond the margins of the comprehensible or imaginable.
While we may want sexual violence to be universally condemned, we can understand that it simply is not. But the typology of sexual violence, that is what sexual violence actually is cannot be left to a machine of political imbecility with its hypertrophic sense of moral certainty and enormous PR machine to determine. What constitutes sexual violence is the most important of questions and American society, by and large, is in no position to answer it for the rest of us. The society that through its institutions and corporations have managed to regulate out of the difgital Frenfch public sphere the distribution of Courbert's „L‘origine du monde“ should not be giving the French lessons of prudence, decorum and sexual morality.

Much like hercampaign, the last thing this book seems interested in doing is fulfilling its declared intention. That is, indeed "what happened".

‘What Happened’ is that a woman who supported regime change in Honduras, Libya and Iraq, alienated the young vote, concealed suspect financial ties and, Saudi sympathies overlooks her own unpopularity and electoral incompetence and blames a foreign actor for releasing accurate emails . After avoiding sniper fire in Bosnia, now Hillary Clinton avoids sniper fire somewhere between San Francisco and Moscow.

The fact that she devotes 512 pages to explaining how she takes full responsibility for a loss that everybody but her was responsible for tells me that she would have been a great American President.
