a/n: currently on vacation but i’m back with a super long post heheh
- jeon jungkook was a name that was whispered between rival crews and even fellow shipmates.
- he was the first mate of min yoongi, the captain of the lost atlantis ship and was quite infamous for being playful.
- it was a cloudy day at sea.
- as always, captain min was at the deck.
- “stop searching for those damn sirens, cap,” jungkook laughed, slinging an arm around him.
- yoongi shoved off the playful boy and muttered, “suck my ass, jeon. i just wanna ask them if they know where the closest island is.”
- “we have maps for a reason?”
- “oh yeah, the maps that yangseob dumped into the ocean?”
- “well, if it makes you feel better, he died this morning. he had a heart attack.”
- “tell those louts to get over it, jeon,” yoongi replied blithely with a snort. “that bastard deserved it.”
- with a mischievous smile, jungkook teased, “tell that to jimin, cap. he’s absolutely heartbroken.”
- looking up with a scowl, yoongi muttered, “i don’t know why i tolerate you even though i can throw you over this ship right now.”
- “i’d like to see you try, hyung,” the young lad challenged.
- “fuck off—and where is jimin?”
- shoving the telescope into jungkook’s arms, yoongi was off to find his saddened lover.
- “oh, and you’re on fishing duty for tonight, jeon!” yoongi called out, a smug smile etched onto his face.
- with a grunt, jungkook trudged over to where kihyun was perched at and took the fishing net from the pink haired lad.
- “about fuckin’ time!” kihyun gave jungkook an encouraging slap on the back and ran off to the galley.
- yoongi liked to put people on fishing duty when they pissed him off.
- disobey his orders and you wouldn’t be getting dinner for a straight week.
- so far kihyun’s been on fishing duty for the past month
- and that’s because he calls yoongi, “yoongle boongle” when he was manhandling a rival crew member.
- the young pirate drifted off to sleep with the thought of seokjin’s stirred fried pork on his mind.
- he was jolted awake when he felt the net thrash around wildly.
- the sun had already set and everyone was gathered at the galley, munching away on seokjin’s dishes.
- “hurry up, guk!” hoseok called from inside.
- peering over the edge of the boat and expecting a hoard of fish, but...
- jungkook was wide eyed and speechless when he met eyes with a naked, silver haired man.
- “fucking help me, you joithead,” the man spat at the stunned pirate.
- “wha—how? sir, we’re hundreds of miles away from land. how are you here?” jungkook sputtered as he fumbled with the knots on the net.
- the stranger showed off his sparkly periwinkle colored tail and muttered, “nosy ass pirates.”
- jungkook smirked slightly at his bluntness.
- “where’s the nearest island from here, sir?”
- “and if i don’t tell you?”
- “well, i wouldn’t mind having a siren for dinner tonight,” jungkook joked.
- the siren deadpanned, “you wouldn’t.”
- “of course i wouldn’t. you’re too cute to be eaten.”
- “shut it, asshole,” the stranger mumbled before slipping back into the water.
- “hey, can i get a name at least?”
- after a few seconds, the man popped back up and called out, “taehyung.”
- taehyung remarked, “you’re kinda hot, by the way.”
- jungkook chuckled at the sudden confession as he watched the siren swim into the distance.
- damn, he’s really cute, he thought.
- it was three in the afternoon and the lost atlantis crew had stopped by a nearby island to find some herbs and fruits.
- two hours later, yoongi had announced that everyone was free to explore the island or hang out in the waters.
- jungkook raced into the water with jimin and hoseok chasing after him.
- the trio decided on a race to the biggest boulder.
- five minutes into the competition, jungkook was leading, as expected.
- “come back, guk! the waves don’t look too stable!” hoseok called out.
- “it’s fine, hyung!” jungkook laughed, swimming towards the finish line.
- jimin cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted, “hey, seriously! come back, jungkook! you won already!”
- in jungkook’s head, he just had to poke the rock.
- before the young pirate could finish his words, a monstrous wave slammed the boy into the boulder.
- it knocked the wind outta him and he didn’t know if he was hallucinating, but he could’ve swore he saw pink water around him before blacking out.
- they say a siren’s kiss does wonders.
- at that moment jungkook really wished taehyung was there.
- his wish was granted when he awoke to something pressed against his lips.
- his heart raced with panic, but it was replaced with butterflies as he realized it was the cute siren he met yesterday.
- jungkook coughed up water immediately when he realized taehyung wasn’t kissing him but instead performing cpr.
- “oh my—wow. can we do that again?” jungkook chuckled, sucking in a deep breath.
- “you almost died and this is the first thing you say?” taehyung replied sternly.
- “should’ve known better than to swim all the way out here,” he added, chewing on his lips.
- instead of worrying about how he almost died,
- jungkook wondered how long taehyung’s lips had been pressed against his for his lips to be that pink and swollen.
- but without missing a beat, jungkook grinned, “can you blame me? i really wanted to see you again.”
- “oh, fuck off, you piece of lettuce.”
- “that was hot. can you curse again?”
- “has it been a while since you got some dick or?”
- “don’t even remind me.” jungkook rolled his eyes. “that guy lasted like two seconds.
- taehyung giggled. “sucks for you.”
- “yeah, can you believe it? almost died and now my savior’s laughing at me.” he got up to leave but taehyung’s hand shot out to seize his hand.
- “your, uh, head was bleeding. i fixed it.”
- “well, you know, by kissing you?”
- “whatever, taehyung,” jungkook muttered. “we’ll see each other around anyways.”
- “and you’re so sure of that because?”
- “please, tae,” he laughed. “it’s called a gut feeling.
- the way ‘tae’ rolled off jungkook’s tongue so easily made taehyung’s heart thump, but he would never admit that to anyone.
- “we’ll see about that, pretty boy.”
- “is that a challenge, mister siren?”
- the two felt like old friends as they joked around with one another.
- they knew they’d be more than friends one day though.
