as much as my school sucks(its to be expected, I live in rural Alberta), I have one teacher that I absolutely love. We were talking about what different legacies of globalization could be, but it was a group thing, and one of the guys in my group started yapping about how if he got kicked out of art school twice hed be a fascist too(completely unprompted), and I said "you already are fascist" because he is, and not only did I not get in trouble for calling kids fascist, the teacher defended me.

I think a problem a lot of x reader fan fictions have is that the author is to descriptive about the reader, no one is never vague enough about what the reader looks like, or what they like/dislike. And I get that in a story you want to be descriptive but there's a fine line between a character that's made to be a stand in for the reader, vs a fully thought out character who's only missing their name. Instead of describing exactly what the character is wearing for example, put a vague description saying their more dressed up then usual, or their more dressed down, instead of saying what kind of makeup if any were wearing just say they went lighter or heavier with it then usual.

I'll never understand those people who see having niche taste in music as competition, I feel like its good to have a mix of more well known and smaller bands. I like everything from MCR to a local band in Calgary with less then 100 monthly listeners(on Spotify at least), it makes it easier to meet new people because I can yap about thw bigger bands I like and get them into the smaller ones if they aren't already

Sometimes I forget a lot of people would consider my music taste weird until I walk into my art class and hear the most cookie cutter bullshit music my art teacher listens to. I'm not even trying to be mean when I say that, I just genuinely didn't realize how different my taste in music is from the mainstream

Actually what does my mom want from me anymore? She constantly complains thst I never talk to her, that I stay in my room, I don’t go out with friends and I don’t speak to most of her side of the family

But when I do try and talk to her she gets all pissy at me.

I stay in my room because I need my own space where I can control the noise level, temperature, and lights. Plus the living room is always occupied by her boyfriend who’s either sleeping on the couch or working. Or when I’m in my moms general vicinity and am scrolling on TikTok or instagram she’s constantly all: “why are you listening to that?!”, “why would you listen to that?!” Any time there’s an audio by an artist she doesn’t like.

I don’t go out with friends because I don’t have any in the town that I live and no one in the house can drive other then her boyfriend who refuses to get off his ass 90% of the time, and I can’t make any because everyone here is fascist.

And I don’t speak to her family because they’re all so unbelievably annoying and can’t accept that I’m just a quiet person. One of my grandmas on her side told me I should go to fat camp because I fit in my mom’s pants—a size 8-9 typically(we’re both 5’6-ish). And my other grandma on her side(her stepmom) told me I was ugly when I was ten because I wore shorts one time.

Actually what am I supposed to do at this point.

I need band recommendations, I listen to everything from Marina to Blood For Blood. Im particularly into folk punk. Hardcore, pop punk, and whatever Will Wood And The Tapeworms would classify as. For specific bands I like, I've been really into Propaghandhi, Blood For Bloood, Pat The Bunny and all his projects, The Taxpayers, Pierce The Veil, Car Seat Headrest, old Green Day, and Will Wood + Tapeworms. I've overplayed all of them and because of that they're all getting boring

I’m rewatching My Hero Academia after I dropped it somewhere around season six, so it’s been at least a year since I’ve watched any of it, probably closer to three since I watched the first couple seasons. I remember really liking it my first time watching it, and it’s been good so far. But am I supposed to disagree with Shigaraki and what he said about violence in episode 12(I think)? I know he’s the main antagonist and we probably aren’t supposed to agree with him, but his stance seemed pretty reasonable to me.

EDIT: I should clarify I am 15, so some of the messages will go over my head, but I feel like his speech on violence was pretty straight forward, correct me if I’m wrong though

This might be seen as a hot take, I'm honestly not sure, but you can in face listen to the music of bad people, as long as you don't financially support them it's fine. If I remember right, on Spotify the artist makes 1/4 of a cent per listen, and that has to be split between all of production. Streaming does not financially support the artist. As long as you never buy merch, CDs, records or whatever else first hand it's fine. And if you don't want to consume the art of bad people then you can't consume art.

I honestly don't understand why the bsd anime gets so much hate for slightly changing character designs. Would i have preferred fyodor look more like he did in the manga? Yes, but he's still pretty, just a different kind of pretty
