i agree that all three options (gay/demi/unlabeled eddie) would be groundbreaking and beautiful for many different reasons, but i currently have a soft spot for eddie being unlabeled.

he spent his entire life being put into boxes and putting himself into boxes and compartmentalising the shit out of his entire life and his emotions that i'd love to see him content and free enough to be able to confidently not give a fuck about labels? to just be able to say "i loved shannon and i love buck and that's all that matters/is important"? to look people who want to put him into boxes and push labels on him in the eye and say "sure, whatever makes you sleep at night, sweetheart (derogatory)"?

pre s8 but bringing back the unlabeled eddie agenda because i feel like it would be so special for him to be like "i'm in love with buck, i don't care what that means for me as long as i can still love him" and then being like "i don't know if i was in love with shannon, or in love with the idea of her but either way it doesn't make our relationship less real" and just UGH
